I'll stick to my Pei Dan (Century Egg)
According to Wiki, Pei Dan's are made " in a brine of salt, calcium hydroxide, and sodium carbonate for 10 days"

| I'm no Chem Major, but I'm pretty sure if you boil urine, you're only left with Ammonia. And if ingested, it becomes Ammonium Hydroxide
So basically, they're eating eggs boiled in 
I don't feel sorry for anybody eating these eggs, and creating future health complications. If they're stupid enough to eat this, they deserve it.

Is it fucked up? Yes. Are they to be condemned because of their fucked up devotion to a food item? No.
