Seriously,

do you really think the RCMP would take the time to pull people over for violating the HOV lane, and then proceed to handcuff them purely on THAT violation? By handcuffing them, you've pretty much detained and/or arrested the perp;

which therein involves reading them their rights and cautions and requesting a lawyer and so on...

No doubt there's more to the story. ie: outstanding warrants etc...

Next time, you should pull over and ask the officer why the lady is being cuffed.
Then you can make a post without assumptions.

OP you're a moron. To answer your question, NO. Police will not handcuff you for an HOV violation. It's a moving violation not a criminal code violation.

........is more plausible than getting cuffed for HOV cheating.

Op is a perfect example of how stupid people are nowadays. Not just ignorant stupid but a complete lack of common sense. Like your parents are blood relatives stupid.

Makes my life easier knowing that even with dementia my old ass will have more sense then an entire generation.

example is the amount of self incriminating videos/fbook stuff. When I was a lad that shit was called evidence.
