4 brothers pizza on the drive is pretty good

godwin 12-22-2013 09:01 PM

On the Drive.. Low End: Fire Pizza I like more than 4 Brothers.
High End: Lombardo's, Marcello's.. the duel of the ex's.

westopher 12-22-2013 09:17 PM

LOL marcellos is fucking god awful.

SoNaRWaVe 12-22-2013 09:43 PM

never liked marcellos. try famoso, the one right across the street.

westopher 12-22-2013 09:47 PM

Famoso is decent, not in the realm of "the best" IMO but I like it. Its 400billion steps above marcellos though. For my wedding I did all the cold food appetizers myself and ordered 40 pizzas from famoso. The guests loved it and it was about 1/4th of the price of mediocre catering options.
Heres a good spot to look for some pizza options. Scout is pretty in tune with the good stuff in the restaurant industry IMO.

4 brothers is pretty awful too.

Pretty much portion size/bang for your buck is why they are popular.

While still awesome, it used to be much better!

They've been skimping on the quality of their pizzas as of late. :okay:

Anyone tried "Don't argue" on main and 16th yet?

xmisstrinh 01-06-2014 11:35 AM

I LOVE The Nook on Denman or in Kits. I came back from Italy not long ago, and I would say that their pizza is like 97% authentic Italian pizza- closest I've ever had in Vancouver. Its a bit on the pricey side though. When I crave wood oven pizza though, its my go-to!

Been meaning to! I may try it out this weekend.

Tried fire pizza last night. I got the honey garlic pork and capricolla. Honey garlic was too sweet and capricolla didn't have any meat on it until 5 bites in. I also couldn't help but feel that the pizzas were pretty old. The presentation is very nice though and I like how generous they are with toppings. Gotta go back a few more times to see if I like it better than Uncle Fatihs or not

Tapioca 01-06-2014 12:32 PM

I'm not a pizza aficianado (Uncle Fatih's is my go-to), but gotta agree with the 'dukes that Via Tevere on Victoria is pretty good. Two people can easily dine for under 40 bucks and have some leftovers to spare.
