I did the rear brakes and re-lubed the caliper guide pins.

Replaced all my old filthy lugs with new fresh ones. I'm sure there is a way to clean and polish up the old ones.

^^ lug nuts are a wear item. You did well replacing them instead of cleaning them

the WRX has some fakass carbon fiber trim and i decided to try my hand at flocking. it turned out way better than i thought it would.

I thought i'd have to strip it all back and just spray paint it since i"m such a hack lol.

^^ you can also get this black velvet wrap that is very similar. Always another option for other pieces

replaced my 5 inch VRSF fmic with a 7.5 Race fmic

This thing is a beast !

Lots of cutting involved to get it to fit. It had to be done. IAT temps were getting out of control on the drag strip.

installed a custom chassis mount aluminum front splitter. i contacted the same person who made my aluminum skidplate and organized a group buy to make this project happen. installed it today. did the industry standard 200lb gorilla test and it holds me perfectly fine.

perfectly compliments the skidplate, and shouldn't be damaging my motor anytime soon from rocks.

Just curious. Is that black bar some kind of crash bar? That can't be road legal can it?

320icar 10-07-2019 08:05 AM

Just a license plate mount lightbar

trollface 10-07-2019 08:14 AM

I've always curious about these skid plates, bumper bars etc. Since all the cars come out of the factory designed in a way to reduce pedestrian injury etc. Does someone have any additional recourse to sue you personally if they were struck by a car with a skid plate hanging out like that?

If that thing is strong enough to hold 200lb, that thing is going to cut your damn legs off if it hit you. I've always been curious from a liability standpoint.

I see jeeps roll around with the big wrap-around metal grills all the time. Can someone sue the fuck out of you if you smoke someone with those on your car since the Jeep owner pretty much-wrapped iron pipes around the soft plastic bumper? I mean, it's not that much different that me welding a spike to the front of my Astro van.

Not hating, legit question.

you! 10-07-2019 03:26 PM

+1 im also wondering about the same thing
anybody have actual facts to contribute instead of assumptions?

320icar 10-07-2019 04:42 PM

*anything* that alters a vehicle has an inherent risk to it. Whether a Jeep running around with a stinger front bumper, a tow truck with an aftermarket winch, a track car with a splitter, a basic 99 Honda Civic that’s lowered (and thus changes pedestrian contact area when hit).

Best thing you can do is not be stupid, be honest if you get into an accident and be a defensive driver

I like the idea - but I wouldn't even want to work around the front of the car with that thing on there. RIP legs

320icar 10-07-2019 05:54 PM

It’s modular. All can be removed in 3 minutes or less

!Aznboi128 10-17-2019 11:45 AM

prudz 10-17-2019 02:09 PM

No kidding, and the most you ever get out of it is a little "oopsie my bad" if you're lucky and a complete expectation that it's no big deal.

Meanwhile you leave the toilet seat up a couple times in a row and it's fucking world war 3.

320icar 10-17-2019 04:39 PM

You should have seen the stream of texts she sent me after. Enough to make a sailor blush

BIC_BAWS 10-17-2019 06:13 PM

Or if you do get mad, you get "oh you love the car more than you love me".

But who knows, I'm not married, maybe that's just a girlfriend thing.
