You mean, Altria owns all of the above. Then Berkshire Hathaway owns stocks in most of the companies. Coca-Cola and Pepsico have the same investors so technically they are owned under the same "owners".

unilever owns way more than that. They own Loctite for Christ's sake.

adding onto this spectrum, General Electric owns a large stake in MSNBC. GE's main business is hydroelectric dam turbines and jet engines for planes and missiles. During all foreign wars, MSNBC's coverage is noticeably toned down to protect their own interests. This was actually studied in depth in several academic publications (it was discussed in a sociology course I took)

Nothing illusion about this.

learned a bit on this chart....always thought Dr.Pepper/Crush and Pepsico worked together

Pepsico is a bottler for Dr. Pepper and Crushes. They are used under licence by Cadbury.

Actually, there were a bunch in here that I didn't know of. Like Nestle owning L'OREAL.
So random.

I noticed A&W RootBeer belongs to KRAFT and PEPSICO? :suspicious:

It would be nice if someone found a chart like this for the auto industry too.

...Ya I didn't know a lot of things on that chart. I knew of the smaller branchings like Pepsi but I didn't know that yet another company and so forth owned all that. So, contrary to popular belief, I think this is new information to some people.
