Glad to know I hit up the decent clubs before it turned into LG/LB's playground |
what was you guys' clubbing experience that finally made you realize ur too old for clubbing? and dont say seeing 16 year olds at atlantis/boss cause thats normal mine was a tie between - probably going to canvas when it first opened and they didnt have 151 and disnt know what the three/four wisemen was. clubbing turned all high class on me. or when when all those clubs became a parade of a bunch of shiny ed hardy shirts evrrywhere. |

http://www.mediamarketjournal.com/wp.../05/stefan.jpg If you're looking for class b rental space with a hint of must in the air, then you need to go to "unrented office space". Junkies down below, fine clientele in the pay by the week hotel upstairs and something funny about midgets, this club is for you" There was that one in burnaby on kingsway by Tim Hortons that got leveled for another condo tower too. Now: strip clubs. NBI is still there, no longer a show lounge and no longer NBI. Mugs closed and re-opened in Surrey. Um...that one in East Van that wasn't the #5...had the sleazy "hump your stripper" hotel upstairs. Dammit..can't remember the name. We only went once and it was horrible. |
My best memories are from the Fraser Arms, that time when they had the stripping waitresses, $8 pitchers, and $2 appies. At midnight all 4 waitresses would go up on the stage at the same time. I can't stand dance clubs though. Went to a bunch when I was 19-20, pretty much always sucked. Not for me. |

Delaneys then Ozone FTW lol Dont know how I used to shut the Ozone down so often on weekdays only to be at work for 730 the next morning... No chance I could do that these days. |

1320 Richards: Wettbar, then Mars Cabaret, then becoming Atlantis, and then Boss Nightclub, and finally closed right now. |
The only club I ever really enjoyed was the Red Room on friday nights. It had a different name before that but I can't remember.. Madisons? something like that Very mixed/eclectic easy going crowd who were just there to have fun. I don't think that happens in Vancouver anymore does it? |

Bar None is a good club for hanging out, with easy going people Good DJs, good times. A good diverse crowd. The down side to Bar None is steep $18 cover charge. Fortune Sound Club has by far the best sound system. -good high energy, crowd. No douchebags there. |
