You must have both your Bill of Sale and Title faxed/e-mail scan sent in advance. Either/or will suffice. Signature is not necessary until you show up at the border.

I have the necessary documents and e-mail address if you need it.

if you can email me the documents that would be great.

i keep reading about some other form i need to fax in to the u.s. side but can't locate any... also is the bill of sale and official document also?
Sent.

You don't need to fax it. E-mailing is more efficient and you get a confirmation as to when the vehicle is ready for export etc.

The Bill of Sale could be something as simple as:

I, bcrdukes, sell Herp Derp my 2012 Piece of Crap Made in China Car for $2.34 and a can of Coca Cola. The vehicle is sold as-is and payment has been received in full. Etc etc etc.

You get the idea.

Actually depending on your timing etc (especially with the new budget).. waiting that 72 hours is favourable if you have the time, since it counts to the purchase price of your car... can be a bit since I assume you will be travelling in 2.

now the seller is meeting me in seattle and ill drive the car back. the seller is willing to fax the title 72hours ahead of time to the u.s. border so that there is no delay when i head back.

my question is; does the american side need the title signed my both the seller/buyer and faxed in? the seller doesn't mind faxing the title in but naturally doesn't want to sign it until he is paid. so is the faxed title enough and of course when i get to the border ill have the original title signed and all.

also does the u.s. side need the bill of sale faxed ahead of time or just when i come thru?
