I dont want to sound mean or rude...

LiquidTurbo 05-12-2012 11:49 PM

Well, this kind of thing is exactly why motor vehicle accidents are no.1 killer of teens.

Such a waste of life.

I say it because whether or not the action was stupid, death is something everyone fear and wish to avoid for many years. They left behind their mother (day before mothers day) family and friends, its a rough time for everyone that knows em for sure, only reason why I said that, ill even say it if thw drunk driver died but will give that person shit for being an idiot

@ redlines, in no way luder and I saw this as a laughing matter, I guess the misuse of that is so common in our talks, we didn't see it as "laugh out loud" more of a sarcaastic facepalm way

mercyboy 05-13-2012 12:19 AM

i just feel the pain right now for the Mom on getting a gift of losing her two sons on mothers day..wow im speechless!!! Drinking kills!!!!

so wear your fking seat belts.. i bet those bros weren't wearing seat belts..

Lost a friend awhile back from a car accident.. too young to die just like that. RIP.

I agree on the seat belt thing but the way the car hit, seat belts wouldn't have made a difference.

ree666 05-13-2012 01:40 AM

rip jess

Hehe 05-13-2012 06:51 AM

RIP...

Can't imagine the pain the mother of two... right before mother's day too...

deepest condolence to the family.

godwin 05-13-2012 07:50 AM

Not to mention they were also street racing with a Caddy.. the driver of the Caddy got 6 years..

Any car with all the latest gadget won't save you from sudden deceleration from very high speeds... especially what you hit are aging infrastructure, that are designed to last vs save lives.

Sentence upheld against Vancouver driver in crash that killed four

Just yesterday when I was getting bubble tea, two cars packed with teens blasting gayass music so loud thinking they were all cool and shit. Driver was so drunk trying to tell me he likes my sunglasses or some shit.
I seriously hoped he doesn't kill all his friends that night.

No keys to these kids please.

For your future reference. If i were you, I would have just called the cops on them not because to screw them over but to protect a possible deadly accident that could occur. Who knows maybe they'll hit a car whom you might have known but you could have prevented it.. (Just giving as an example.. nothing personal :p)..

miss_crayon 05-13-2012 06:21 PM

Terrible, just terrible. It makes me wonder what this kid (the driver) was thinking when he decided to take his keys, put it in the ignition and drive off with his 2 friends.

People always think "it'll never be me," which is dumb as shit.

Pooface55 05-13-2012 06:43 PM

I'm glad they didn't T-bone a minivan carrying a family.

Clean up this gene pool.

tonyvu 05-13-2012 06:49 PM

oh man... their family must be devastated... not only one son, but both =(

RIP..

yes exactly

I went to same high school as 2 victims. Rest in peace Moses Brothers. Two young men taken much much too early by the stupidity and irresponsibility of another.

Sincere Condolences to the mother and father..... Who have truly lost everything.... No words can describe the feeling that I ( a stranger) am feeling, let alone the parents.

May the driver (R W) face the fullest extent of the unmerciful law.

This goes without saying but: Let this be a lesson that EVERYONE learns from, for overall driving safety, not just drunk driving. Sure alcohol was the biggest factor but inexperience behind the wheel and general disregard for safety also played a big part. Bottom line: impaired driving is JUST NOT WORTH IT any way you cut it ....

Just think of the poor Moses parents the next time you try to turn the key while drunk or let someone else turn the key while drunk. Also think of them when you step on that right pedal for too long or weave erratically, endangering not only yourself, but innocent people in the vicinity.

One of the MOST PREVENTABLE leading causes of death, period. Biggest shame.

Rest in peace Moses Brothers.

originalhypa 05-14-2012 06:43 AM

I guarantee that the driver started his life sentence that night.
I knew a guy who killed his friend while drinking and driving back in the 90's. Long story short he never got over the fact he killed his best friend and took his own life last year. 15 years later and his own guilt never let him forget.

What a waste this whole situation is.
But worst of all Mrs. Moses lost her whole future that night.
So sad...
:okay:

I thought the passengers died, the driver lived? Is the driver dead now?

Minor injuries, and already released from the hospital, according to the OP.

Drow 05-14-2012 11:27 AM

RIP Shane. Chilled with you once years ago and you were pretty chill. Condolences to the Moses family.

liukb 05-14-2012 12:25 PM

I'm friends with the driver and chilled with Shane a couple of times, he was a good guy. Although it was a bad idea riding in a drunk drivers car, no one deserves for something like this to happen. Condolences to the family and RIP to Shane and Jess. Whole thing feels unreal, but hopefully people can learn from this that drinking and driving is never a good option or risk to take, whether you're the passenger or driver.

hchang 05-14-2012 01:12 PM

I went to the same high school as both brothers and hung out with Shane once through mutual friends. Great guys without a doubt.

Sad to hear this happen but such is life. We all make stupid decisions in our life and just so happen some end tragically. Ill admit and I'm sure a good chunk of Revscene has also done the same at one point in their life got into a car with a drunk driver.

The kicker is that Mrs. Moses is on a cruise so doesn't know about the news as of yet. Not sure if she's back yet as of today.

RIP.
