You know this crash could have happened even with a sober driver. Sure, alcohol may have played a factor, but it's not like catastrophic crashes don't happen with sober drivers. Would those condemning the dead passengers be as crass if the driver was sober?

ctv news just talked about this story again on the news and they showed the memorial that was setup for the brothers.... someone put two bottles of alcohol along with the flowers... a bombay sapphire and i dont know what the other one is...

like :seriously: i've seen this done a number of times along other memorials and im like :fulloffuck: ... that's exactly why they've passed away... does it really seem like a good idea? the people who put it there obviously learned nothing from their loss

Unless they were forced into the car by the driver, it was their own stupidity and irresponsibility that led them to this outcome. They should have never got into the vehicle to begin with, knowing their friend was drunk.

Not only did the driver think he was invincible, but the passengers did as well. All it would have taken was for one of the passengers to say that he didn't feel comfortable getting in the car, and that it was a dumb idea to drive, and they all would have probably ditched the driving idea, and the brothers would be alive right now.

i knew the older brother, and though he wasn't the most innocent kid or best student, he sure was a cool guy to hang out with. i've heard that everybody in the car had had alcohol, and that just may be a rumour, but i wouldn't doubt it. whether it was stupidity, negligence or drunkenness, nobody deserves this. not the 2 kids who were still so young, and not the family

RIP

now it is 6 mo later....whatever happened to the driver (some ryan...?), btw and the charges pending?

i heard he'd left town shortly thereafter to get away from it all (who can blame him...hell a 'best friend'
is mostly responsible for the deaths of his 'best buddies', as the driver that deadly night....shit who can handle THAT).

i also heard he lived almost next door to the moses family; and that the father of the moses boys forgave him at the official memorial/'celebration of life' (I got this from a couple of gals I spoke with at the roadside memorial, and had attended the official 'celebration of life' for the two brothers)

RIP, drinking and driving is a no... how hard is that to understand? lol

Refer to my sig.

There are plenty of options... but every year, a few distinct morons fail to plan ahead and end up dead.

Hopefully no more RS'ers this season.
