^:suspicious:

:rukidding: It can only wiggle on land, other than that it can't do much. It doesn't come out of land running after little dogs or kids.

Thank god they got it.. and I really hope it was just the one. It really was like a scary movie reading about the facts that it can walk on land and eat things 3 times it size (aka my dog). Every time I see a picture or video of it I get shivers down my spine!.. and slightly want to puke...(I don't know how people can eat something that looks like that)

How does something with no legs "walk on land?"

How does snake walk on land? Same wiggling action the fish will do, just a lesser extend. Don't listen to media trying to blow this up like it's scary on land. A snail walks faster than these snakeheads on land.

Not a chance will these fish eat things 3 times their size on land. Unless you are blind or retarded to let it swallow u whole, then u deserve to die. They are no land predators, in water they may dominate, on land? LOL a duck can peck it to death

the reason why they are acting that way is because if it gets into the fraser river it could destroy the whole salmon population since it reproduces so quickly and eats everything.

let's keep a tiger enclosed in your neighbourhood and see how you feel about that...it's just out of its natural habitat :ilied:

it can eat something upto 1/3rd its size not 3 times its size. 3 times its size would be upto 9 feet long :suspicious:

Overhyped. It'd be a pretty badass fish if it could walk around, but sadly its just like a piranha, Overhyped :p

Butchered traditional style hung on a hook?

Never had Anglerfish. Where would I try it the way you are describing?

I'd try to make it 3 ways.
1. Beer battered
2. Poached in butter
3. En papillote (fancy way of saying making a bag out of paper and sticking it in the oven).

If doesn't taste good, then bummer.

If taste good. Let's farm these!

Anglerfish is actually already commonly eaten in North America and Japan, it is also known as monkfish. It is one ugly mofo.

The hook thing is how Japanese sushi chefs traditionally butcher it, hung on a hook and filleted:
