I know this is an age old question but any tips for buying tix from season ticket holders? Verifying if they legit etc.

jeedee 01-16-2013 11:21 PM

- Ask for their Canucks card
- Ask to see their drivers license
- Ask to see a receipt

Any legit season ticket holder wouldn't mind showing you that info. Just make sure to match their name on any receipt(s) to their name on the drivers license.

lol, besides recognizing most of the main roster, there were too many "randoms" mixed in the bunch.

-writing off the Canucks already even before the season started? Johnny Canuck should use his axe to tell this guy to write an balanced article that gives a better assessment of Vancouver. As if the Oilers are even close to winning a Cup compared to Vancouver.

They probably are.....I'd much rather be in Oilers situation right now than Vancouver's....Actually, I'd probably rather be Oiler's situation than pretty much any other team in the league...

And who knows even how "weak" our division will even be this year....Minnesota, Edmonton, and Colorado are all question marks as to how good they will be....Minnesota and Edmonton both have legit rosters that are more than capable of getting into playoffs at the very least, and possibly even making a decent run...

Out of all of them, Minny has the best chance at taking over the division... I don't buy Edmonton's hype with that D and G

This is pretty much all you can ask for. When I sell my tickets I usually rip the tickets out of the booklet in front of them, and have the 3 things above if they require it. Out of hundreds of games sold I've only had maybe 5 people ask for all 3?

Most of the time people will not ask to see this info but when it came to rounds 3-4 of the cup round and thousands of dollars was being transferred, I was more than happy to provide what ever info they wanted.

Rick Rypien vs Brad May Nov 12, 2009 - YouTube

I watched this when they announced we were going to have a season. Needless to say, it got me jacked up.

Mike Oxbig 01-17-2013 11:27 AM

:okay:

$7 a ticket x 24 games = $168 = a price of a jersey

Atta boy, Rypper. You could make a case for Rypien being one of the best fighters...ever...in the NHL.

RIP #37.

Most of the time I'll just ask if I can pick up the tickets from their work or home. That way if they screw me I know where to find them. :chop:

If you guys know any one that plays minor hockey:
Exclusive Minor Hockey Offer

It's 2 for 1 for some of the games. I don't think there's any validation required either to purchase them.
