I do believe JS should be given a chance to play but this is such a short season, AV is right in putting out the most veteran line up. You want to win as many games as you can before injuries or anything that hits you.

That proves my point in that you can't tell from stats alone. And only Eberle played in the AHL before NHL. He tore it up there and tore it up in the NHL. But Jason Krog tore it up in the AHL and did shit diddly in the NHL.

its all about earning your roster spot. You are given chances to succeed in which you take the ball and run with it.

1a) some rosters have more openings than others
1b) some fringe players get longer leashes than others (i.e. Aaron Rome = long; Hodgson = short)

I hope Redden can rekindle some of his success in STL, Gomez apparently received a offer from the Sharks. Just saw it on Sportsnet, no idea for how much though

800k is a really good contract for redden. Gomez to San jose does not make a lot of sense. Gomez seems like a top six player since I think he's an offensive player? Although he could fill in as 3C until Hertl becomes ready or could play on the wing.
