can't get out of the zone can't stay disciplined kesler out there playing like hes 50% (thank god no diving) should of been a shutout for Niemi sedins invisible andrew EBBETT. unlucky bounces / losing the small battles resulting in goals = game. set. match. and we were laughing at LA yesterday? |

Do I "blame" luongo for losing? Obviously not, I even specifically said as much. Do I think he let in 2 soft goals? Yes absolutely. Will they win a game without scoring goals on their own? Probably not. Do I think Schneider gives them a better chance to win? yes. But again, if they can't score it doesn't matter. |
seems like this team doesn't play with any urgency when Luongo's in net. top 6 were invisible making Ebbet look like an all star |
If your best players have little impact on the game, guess what you lose. Sedins and Kesler were invisible. Kassian's dumb ass hit on Couture leads to a Couture power play goal. That goal turned the momentum around in 2nd period that the Canucks dominated. Posted via RS Mobile |
I have no idea why AV plays the piece of shit Ebbett! The fourth line suppose to give the team energy yet he cant even hit anyone and get crushed into the bench....the guy is a useless plug and I hope he's gone in the summer with AV! END RANT! |
As soon as the panel said home teams were 5-0 I had a feeling the Canucks would find some way to fuck it up. Sadly, it's what they do. :okay: |
lol can't wait to hear the calls on team 1040 |
Ultimately, Luongo played well enough to give the Canucks a chance to win. No, he didn't play like 2011 TT or 2012 Quick. But the players were just getting dominated tonight. I don't care what the total shots were. Scoring chances, it was easily lobsided. Besides the Garrison shot in the first period, I think pretty much everything else was either a sharp angle shot or not a legit scoring chance. I swear, Niemi was probably starting to fall asleep. Dominated in the face-off circle... Sedins were invisible. It's actually a miracle the Sharks only scored 3 goals... or actually, 4 goals. The offense from this game was even worse than from the 2011 Bruins series. Absolutely abysmal. The PK is horrendous. They can't win any defensive face-offs. It's a full 2 mins in the Canuck's zone. It Canucks drop the next game with effort like this, they'll easily drop another 2 on the road. |
if we traded Lu.......... brb no Schnoo, no Lu, no Lack :lol :lol |
PK was probably the best thing they had all night! Plus the canucks didn't even score tonight it was ex teammate Raffi who scored! |
Why aren't they fired up for this game? Where's the intensity? I gave them a pass for playing like they're sleeping through the regular season but WHAT THE FLIPPITY FUCK WAS THAT, CANUCKS? If you can't play a 60 minute game in the playoffs, what the fuck are you even doing here? I'm not mad they lost. Losing happens. I'm mad they looked like they weren't even trying for 2/3 of the game. |
The team peaked 2 yrs ago. |
Time to rebuild the team this off season. #1 on their list - fire the Head Coach |
team 1040 phone boards are open, tune in guys :accepted: |
Need to cut AV lose if we wanna win anything |
I wouldn't count us completely out of this but some interesting things.. Higgins wasn't playing with Roy....why AV? they had chemistry at the tail end of the season why re-vamp the lines for the playoffs and destroy the offensive and defensive flow? Raymond is useless without Schrod 5th straight home playoff loss 13 goals in the last 19 playoff games... pathetic Kesler said he was perfectly fine to play and said he skipped the morning skate cause he felt it was the best way to optimize his energy levels for the game |
Sedins invisible while Sharks top players preformed. There were litterally like zero legit scoring chances :/ Posted via RS Mobile |
lol first call on team 1040... "i hope the canucks get swept" :rukidding: |
With the way Neimi has been playing this season, I already felt this series was lost. Factor in Canucks can't score, it's inevitable. |
dating back to boston series, canucks have scored 17 goals in their last 13 playoff games. just putting that out there. |
If we want to have a chance at winning, I'd like to see Sedin Sedin Burrows Roy Kesler Higgy Raymond Schroeder Hansen Sestito Lapierre Weise Ebbett = Schroeder in terms of grit so nothing lost there btw Burr = 0 SOG |
Shut down the Sedins. Everyone else is cold anyways. Profit. People have figured out the Canucks. |
I wouldn't say the series is over. But the Sharks this year is an incredible 17-2-5 at home. With the next 3/6 played in SJ, I don't like our chances. |

Ebbet played a team low 5:33, just so useless. Waste of a roster spot imo. Canucks needed to play with more drive and they didn't, enough said. Sharks scored on the PP, we didn't. We need to shoot the puck more and stop looking for a perfect pass - Todd McLellan said it perfectly in his post game, you only get the dirty goals if you take the first shot. 11/31 shots were from dmen. That means between 12 forwards, they only took 20 shots. Raymond had 4, meaning the remaining 11 forwards took only 16 shots. That's garbage. Further, how many of those were quality shots? Burr and Kass had 0 shots playing in the top 6. Just isn't good enough. |
