no clue how heavy the z10 is but I would say the q10 is the heaviest phone I have ever had. Not to say its a bad thing just means it build quality is pretty good, I like the weight of it.

Has anyone gone from the Z10 to the Q10? Worth tolerating the smaller screen for the keyboard? I can't type for shit on my Z10 and I'm debating making the switch.

it's awesome! the screen size works for me, I'm still able to watch youtube clips without a problem. Plus I don't play games so I don't need such a large screen.
but I'm a little bias haha. 9000-9700-9790-9900 I also owned both the white and black version=p

I think the q10 screen probably could have been pushed to 3.5 inch screen like the iphone 4 but that's just me! Over all the q10 screen isn't bad at all.

I wouldn't mind a bigger phone with a keyboard thinks about it....bigger screen, bigger keyboard, easier for app developers to switch over their apps, better over all experience for people with bigger hands. I have said bigger way too much my bad haha

Screen could be bigger but don't expect anything happening until the next wave of devices in 2014-2015 because they want to stick with this screen size.

That's why q5 is the same screen size as q10 so developers have an easier time sticking to, two sizes. Q10 and z10.

I'm loving my Q10 so far. I just hope they make it easier to go in between letters if you make a mistake. I find on an iPhone or Android it's much easier to touch and go in between letters. Makes me miss the trackpad haha. Can't wait for BB world to get some good banking apps like mint!

all they need to do next with the gen 2 Q10 is stretch the screen to the corner and remove the BlackBerry logo from the top. That would be perfect, maximize the screen with the size of the phone.

Is it normal to lose ram even though I close all my applications when I run them?
If I do a battery pull it starts off at around 1.4 GB of free ram, at the end of the day it's around 900 mb.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Hmm I guess I'll have to see for myself. Telus made a huge mistake with my account and is sending me a Q10 as an apology. Debating just putting it on Craigslist or using it and giving my Z10 away.

Yes, that's normal. It's loaded into memory for quick access. To fully remove the app from memory and close it, tap and hold the "x" at the bottom right corner of the active frame. Keep holding until the app closes (in a couple seconds) and the memory will be freed.

And there's no need to do a battery pull. Just press and hold the top power button. An option screen will pop up allowing you lock your screen, turn off, or restart.

How do I change the color of the text box on the Q10 from black to white (like the Z10)?

Not a fan of the screen size on the Q10, but the keyboard more than makes up for it.

Hmm.

2 day review - Q10 is cool and a great business phone, but I need a bigger screen so back to the Z10 it is.

I am using a blackberry bold right now and debating between an s4 with the q10. I love the blackberry keyboard but like the many available apps for the S4. Friends keep telling me that blackberry is getting outdated and all so I don't know which phone i should go with

Another thing is that many pre-paid phone cards (with data) offered in Asia do not work with blackberry phones so i'm debating right now between the s4 and q10.

I prefer the blackberry keyboard over the touch screen keyboard of the S4

any suggestions?

For me I used a blackberries before then switched just this year when the iphone5 came out first iphone ever...then after awhile realized the iphone was good for apps but that about it. I hate virtual keyboards and iphones auto correct has to be the worst out there. So when I heard about the q10 I wanted to switch back to a physical keyboard phone. For me I use both phones one for apps and q10 for emails and such...
