You can only ride along with people who have been signed off for solo iirc.

dared3vil0 05-06-2014 07:37 PM

So it is possible then, hmmm...

white rocket 05-07-2014 07:03 AM

Usually you need to be in the Advanced section in order to carry passengers. It does depend on who is hosting the event though as each hoster will have their own rules.

trollguy 05-07-2014 08:16 AM

aside from alfa club and turn2, passengers other than instructors are not allowed regardless of run groups if i recall.

OH! VCMC lets ppl for advance group as white rocket mentioned. not sure about UBCSCC; never been with them.

underscore 05-07-2014 08:17 AM

^ I know Hooked on Driving will only allow immediate family once you're signed off for solo.

On another note, does anyone know if you can go two people to a car? Buddy is doing the Proformance on the 28th and has a fairly well sorted C5 Z06 i would love to ride shotgun in for the day...

On a third note, May 30 mission raceway (1/4 mile) has a test and tune... Who's down?

if your buddy is taking his Z06, what's stopping you from taking your stang?

Honestly? Paranoia. Insurance issues etc etc...

white rocket 05-07-2014 08:55 AM

You honestly have a way better chance of crashing on the street. These HPDE's are such a controlled environment, especially the Novice groups. As long as you have a good head on your shoulders and can drive half decent you will be fine. I feel safer on a track than on No. 3 Road.

dared3vil0 05-07-2014 09:08 AM

Trust me, i completely agree with you, however it's just the way i feel... Next season perhaps.

trollguy 05-07-2014 09:31 AM

the season has barely begun! :D :D :D

oh well, if you don't feel comfortable nothing will change that- especially a bunch of internet hecklers ;)

Exactly haha, i would seriously love nothing more than to do a few track days, but i'm just not comfortable with the whole insurance thing... Yet. Who knows, maybe you'll see me at one in late summer. :troll:

white rocket 05-07-2014 11:28 AM

One of my favourite sets of wheels!

dared3vil0 05-07-2014 02:36 PM

Wasn't sure i liked them from that first pic, but as soon as i saw them next to the car... Gonna' look incredible!

belaud 05-07-2014 03:02 PM

Fikse wheels are made in Langley, I was going to buy a set, but I still like the 5 spoke Meisters more than the Profi 5's, maybe later in the future :D

dared3vil0 05-07-2014 03:08 PM

^ What was pricing like?

BABU 05-07-2014 03:15 PM

Runs about 3.5k depend on specs and finish you want.

Thanks for the info. Are they fairly lightweight wheels?

westopher 05-07-2014 04:26 PM

I didn't know fiske was in Langley! They are definitely some of the highest quality wheels you can put on your car. Along with the likes of Kinesis, Work, CCW, etc.

BABU 05-07-2014 04:43 PM

They are light. Same level as CCW, HRE.. hardwares all aircraft grade. Colors anodize mostly from them, not sure about powder coat option.

They are right beside the Langley airport, can get your custom offset measure out there.

fliptuner 05-07-2014 06:24 PM

So the centres are threaded and bolted from the back?

BABU 05-07-2014 07:45 PM

Yes, the bolts are on the back side and centers are threaded.
