Death penalty is legal in the state of Colorado, but only one person has been executed since 1977. I do hope the insanity argument gets voided (wasn't he a med student or something along those lines?), and this fucker gets whats coming to him. the bomb squad did an awesome job using a firetrucks ladder and went in through the window of his apartment. from what i understood only the front door was rigged.

Well the bomb squad was tipped off by the suspect that his apartment was rigged. Imagine if the shooter had gotten away and the cops found who he was and went to his apartment. From the sounds of it, he had enough explosives to level the building he was living in.

I doubt he'll be spending the rest of his life in prison, Colorado has the death penalty so most likely he's going to get executed.

If the death penalty isn't used in this case I couldn't even comprehend what the judge would say to justify the sentencing. Of course that is if he doesn't end up in a padded room.
