You could have posted the video, instead of a link to another forum that has a link to the video

I would do anything for my loved ones but sometimes I wonder if I would end up being a coward and save my own ass. Sometimes fear can really get to you and having never experienced what this person experienced it's hard to judge.

Apparently he was arrested/surrendered without any resistance in the parking lot.

Still way to early to say, but he and his attorneys may play the insanity card.

I herd he was in his car and reloading. His car was at back of theater when cops found him with gas mask still on.

They released the names of the 12 victims today:

Honestly, I feel like I could cry after reading this. Especially, about the 6-year-old girl and the guy who dived in front of his girlfriend to save her.

I would love to think I have the guts that guy did. He deserves to be praised and be the one whose name is remembered when the world thinks of this incident. Not the shooter.

The fuck, I would never leave without my wife and kid I wouldn't be able to live with myself. I'd trade my life for either of there's in a heartbeat. I don't know maybe the panic makes people do weird things but I can't imagine doing it any other way.

Hondaracer 07-23-2012 06:54 AM

What I find interesting is how the media as a whole seem like they are all under a mandate to use the killers name as little as possible in an attempt to minimalize his "fame" outside of the major news regarding him like saying he's going to trial etc no one uses his name

I hope I would have the courage to protect my loved ones in a life threatening situation.

Theatres banning masks and fake guns...because that really would have prevented a situation like this

obviously its just them doing something for the sake of doing something.

Something doesn't feel right about that story. Who actually does that? As in go upstairs to complain and even go as far to checking the doorknob to know it's unlocked, but then not actually opening it? Not that this really matters in the grand scheme of things, but I think at least some of that story is fabricated.

so the conspiracy theorists raise some questions, which I have been trying to disprove, but I cant...

people keep mentioning hypnosis...
Project MKUltra - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
okay... well i can't say much about that.

but they do raise some other good points.
the weapons he had, and the amount of money it would cost to get them... where does an unemployed phd student buy that stuff? did they say it was about 20 000 dollars worth?
that would be 20 000 dollars worth on the legit market.

black market would cost more.

he had a m4, which requires a class 3 licence? which he... doesnt have?
who gave him the m4? who provided all the other shit he had?

his actions are also inconsistent. why kill all those people, then just give himself up when the cops come? why wouldn't put up a fight?

and then why would he tell them about the booby trapped apartment?

shouldn't he kill people, kill the cops and die trying, then hope someone triggers the booby traps in his apartment?

Sounded like this guy was more excited for CS GO than The Dark Knight

murd0c 07-23-2012 12:50 PM

Maybe he used student loans to buy the weapons or maybe he got them from a family member or something like that. I do find it very very odd that he just gave himself up after the shooting. Every other mass murder the person normally goes out guns a blazing but this time it's like OK no more ammo time to give up.

Also remember guns are cheap and really easy to get in the US.
