One of my favorite burgers is from Vera's The Frank(onions, double cheese and half a smokey) add bacon and a fried egg. So fricken good and I haven't had it in a couple of years.

In and out seems to use thinner Patty.

Wally's on Kingsway? Haven't they been closed for 2 years now?! Unless they have opened a new one at a different location..

They moved to Killarney Market strip mall, but I believe with new owners, it's not as good as it used to be when it was on Kingsway with the old owners.

Still my biggest feat is the 10 patty from last year.

I've been to In and Out in the US and it is a good burger but nowhere near the best I've ever eaten. The best "fast food" burger I've had in awhile is from "Splitz" in Whistler...

The best "real" burger (ie sit down and order it) I've had in recent memory is from La Brasserie on Davie. (Yes this is how big it comes, you pull some of the fried onions off if you actually want to eat it, but GOD DAMN is it good).

MFW people think bigger burger means better

Harvey Specter 08-22-2012 02:32 PM

I want to try one but I think the burgers will have more calories than I intake for the entire month.

Great68 08-22-2012 03:39 PM

Personally, I think fatburger is better than 5 guys and in&out.

vafanculo 08-22-2012 05:04 PM

Yup they do, but since its a burger of the month, the poutine burger is only for August

Lol, nice. I think I remember a post a while back regarding HAG.. Was that from you? What did you order?

I just came back from 5 guys in south surrey. I really liked the burger. Fries were "meh". Ordered both regular and cajun.

The complimentary peanuts were also very good lol.

Next up is gonna be romers. But so far, best "local" burger I had was at Redmills.. But that's in Seattle.

jack3d 08-26-2012 01:55 AM

went yesterday in the states and wasnt impressed. fries were soggy like people said and the burger is nothing special.. bun was mushy. its dam pricey too 13 bucks for a combo at a fastfood joint. red robins burgers 10 times better

HondaGuy 08-26-2012 02:09 AM

In and out burger is good too.. Tried it when I was in cali this year. Their cheeseburger was drooolllz... Meat was so tender and melted in your mouth lol...
Nice hangout place ... But the fries were just meh, kinda like wendys lol...
Staff was friendly and clean environment.

Dont get me started on RR... I havent had the mushroom burger in ages... So goood...

donjalapeno 08-26-2012 11:23 PM

Nope I haven't made a post about HAG before. I just had a cheese burger and fries. Fries were great cause they use actual lard so you have that great fried taste and the cheese burger was just average. Ok but nothing that special.

Oshiguru 08-27-2012 12:00 AM

I love Five Guys burgers. Haven't had in n out for a few years so I forgot how it tastes :(

Anyway if any of you guys plan on going to Bellevue/Seattle go to Lunchbox Laboratory. LUNCHBOX LABORATORY | Open Daily 11am to 11pm They put balsamic onions on some burgers and they're delicious! In my opinion, its WAY better than Red Mill which imo is overrated.
