yup... i still rmber when i was grade 2 studying in HK, the teacher made me memorize the times table from 1 to 10. Sucks soo much to study in HK

My dad made me do that when I was 6..sucks to be asian :okay:

seems like the dad was offering the kids 5000 points for first part of the song and 7000 points for the second part. seem like the kid was very excited by this reward. maybe every 1000 points can be traded for 10 seconds of tv time.

damm!~ i rmber that shit! i got smacked so much and eventually i got used to it. When i was grade 2, nothing makes me cry but missing 1 episode of Doraemon. My mom will reward me 3 episode if i get at least 95% in each math test and if i get the top mark in final exam, my mom will buy me 1 dvd doraemon movie. =]

This is the life of asian kids (Hong Kong in particular) nowaday. I feel sorry for them all.

School every fucking day.
Monday, Wednesday, Friday - English tutorial class
Tuesday, Thursday - Art class
Saturday morning - Piano class; Saturday afternoon - Math tutorial class
Sunday will be all day studying for next week material.

Then kids get to play with their parent's ipad for 1 hour if they score 100 in the exams

Pointless if you ask me. All this "competition" is just stupid, and for what? just so you can be a year or 2 ahead of someone. By the time we are 45 we'll pretty much all be in the same place.
