Need more Sugar pics!!!! I would still hit that. Fapped to YTV when she was on the early teenage years.
Bane costume is not being completed in time for Cos and Effect. =( Might go as daft punk instead.
I've got more pics of Sugar, as soon as approval for Nakata Jouji photos are cleared by his agency in Japan, I will post up the special guest post which will have more Sugar pics
I wanted to go to this thing, saw the cards at a few shops I frequented... but then I looked online and saw it was $55-60 per day just for the entrance fee??? No thanks.

i felt the same.
i came across volunteering requirements when i was looking for ticket prices. 16 hours just to get free entrance! talk about getting shafted.
Staff also had to pay for their tickets full price didn't matter how many hours you worked, it was like paying to volunteer, hence why a good chunk of staff just got up and left a few months before the con.

I went as Shingo for Anime Evolution 2005 and I ducked taped an EG steering wheel to my arm. Got some really severe burns taking it off at the end of the day.

That's one of the most rediculous things I have ever heard,in terms of donating your time to help out.I don't blame anyone for just walking away. That's like paying your employer to work at your job.
I volunteered at logger sports this year in Squamish,my payment was a cool T-shirt and all
the beer I could drink and food I could eat for free.
I will definately be volunteering again next year.

Not sure where you guys are getting your information from. if you're talking about AR- Staff were given free passes to the con, a lot of free dinners and goodies, and another free pass for a friend or an SO.
There was also never a situation where staff have left us. If anything we fired some staff for not being able to do their assignments.
For volunteering, considering a lot of the jobs given to volunteers are relatively easy and stress free, in addition to being given a lot of breaks in between- 16 hours is hardly a feat.
All Directors and majority of staff worked 60+ hours over the whole weekend. Not sure what's there to complain about.

They don't give a fuck for the community and rather let a community die trying to profit from it.
You should explain what happened to AE then- caucasian run anime event, took everyone's money (both attendees and vendors) and went under.

Our volunteers were managed properly and rewarded properly. For their time, they were given a free 3-Day pass, a t-shirt (which no matter how much attendees wanted to pay for, we declined sale), and a lot of free swags. They also got free autographs from guests that wanted money for their signature. A lot of other volunteers also got discounts and free stuff from vendors in our vendor hall. Plus shitloads of free pocky.

Stoop to what level? I may not like anime/weeboo 'culture' but I'm not going to judge people who genuinely look like they're having fun. A lot of those pics show people having a raelly good time.

Find me as Inori Yuzuriha Anime Revolution apparently was created because the creator only wanted money, hence why staff members have to pay. Cos&Effect was created because Anime Evolution went bankrupt the first year they held it at Vancouver Convention, so they didn't run a con for a while. Anime Evolution will be back in November of this year at UBC

You should get in touch with the folks who run the con. Hear they're a great bunch to work with.

Running a con is not easy at all. I used to be an exec for AE...it's an absolute goddamned nightmare trying to manage everyone. In the last year I seriously staffed, about 1/3 of the people who had signed up to staff the event hadn't shown up at all. So imagine trying to run a convention that's supposed to have 500 people + volunteers with 350 + volunteers.
Not a lot of the people who I used to work with at AE recognize me, because pre-con I used to run myself ragged trying to organize things. I looked like a crazy bushman shouting orders when the con actually happened.
I won't get in to details and I wish the con(s) epic success, each in their own ways. All the planning and whatnot can be a nightmare and it seems like each con that's branching off is doing things in their own way. We'll see how things go in a few years.
oh and someone should ask sugar if she fucked carlos or not
Carlos and sugar were totally fucking. You can see their difficult resistance not to slobber all over each other, but they only do that in front of the home camera...
