However they will definitely need to keep a spy on Maye. Most of his offense has been on broken plays, where he runs out of the pocket to a 20 yard open field. Their "in the trenches" are very good on both sides. And more than that, they are a very well prepared team, something you always expect from the Patriots but now it's with Vrabel instead of Belichick.

Patriots run game is good too with their RBs Henderson and Stevenson.

I can see Vrabel and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels using more of a run game and play action strategy against the Seahawks defence.

Seattle will definitely test the New England offensive line. Their rookie offensive tackle Will Campbell will face a tough test from the Seahawks.
Hoping for a good game from Campbell.

Yeah their O line is responsible for a great run game, keeping Maye protected, and moving rushers to the outside so Maye can scramble out if he needs to. It's a good system for that level of talent on the offense and 2nd year QB (clearly! they are in the Super Bowl)

D line is good too, and the Seahawks will have trouble establishing the run. This has been an issue for them lately. K9 can steal extra yards, but still only averages under 3 yards per carry. Sam will have to be a pocket passer again, instead of relying on play action as much

It's an interesting game. Pats could turn it into a slog fest and win 17-10, or the Seahawks could blow them out.

say what you will ... but

SkinnyPupp 01-26-2026 07:53 PM

It shows the importance of scoring more points than the opponents in the playoffs!

The Buffalo Bills have found their new head coach inside their own building.

Offensive co-ordinator Joe Brady will be promoted to head coach, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Tuesday. He agreed to sign a five-year deal, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Brady replaces Sean McDermott, who was fired after the Bills lost in the AFC divisional round to the Denver Broncos.

Brady first joined the Bills in 2022 as quarterbacks coach and was promoted to offensive co-ordinator in 2023.

Billichick didn't get entry into HOF on first ballot ... serves you right for spygate. Sorry Pasta if you're a fan of Billilovesyoungchicks

Brady is eligible for the Hall of Fame in 2028.

I figure that the Hall of Fame wants to induct Belichick and Brady in the same year. Make it more memorable?

Bill Belichick not being a first ballot HOFer is egregiously bad and makes a mockery of the entire thing

Vikings fired their GM today, his drafting was pretty bad but I'm pretty sure the whole Darnold going to the superbowl thing was the final straw. Honestly, I wasn't even that mad they didn't resign Darnold, I understood why, they wanted to try and improve other areas on the team and have their QB on a rookie salary but they should have brought in a better backup then a banged up Carson Wentz. The issue this year was all the guys they brought in ended up injured except for Rogers, so you spent all this money on FA and they didn't even contribute.

I think his first year when we needed a Safety, Kyle Hamilton is on the board and you trade back and instead and draft Lewis Cine is fireable on it's own.

I do know they offered Daniel Jones more money than he ended up taking in NY, but there were other guys out there. Oh well, onward and upward I guess.... lol

Skinny, your thoughts on your Ravens hiring a former Bears' OC as their new OC?

https://www.sportsnet.ca/nfl/article...-co-ordinator/

After losing last season's offensive co-ordinator in Todd Monken to a head coaching position with the Browns, Baltimore has found someone new to run their offence.

The Ravens are hiring former Bears offensive co-ordinator Declan Doyle as their offensive co-ordinator, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Friday.

The 29-year-old began coaching in the NFL in 2019, spending his first four years with the Saints as an offensive assistant. He was with the Broncos in 2023 and 2024 as a tight end coach before being hired by the Bears last season.

Doyle was recently in contention for the Eagles' offensive co-ordinator position, but withdrew his name from the team's search.

He now has play-calling responsibility in Baltimore, something he didn't have in Chicago with head coach Ben Johnson running the plays there.

In 2025, the Bears' offence ranked ninth in points and sixth in total yards.

SkinnyPupp 01-30-2026 04:17 PM

I don't have much of a take, considering it was Ben Johnson calling plays in Chicago. So I don't exactly know what what Doyle's responsibilities were there

I expect them to use play action a lot more. Ravens were about mid level in the league for its use under Monken, which seemed pretty low for the tools they have. Defenses take great lengths to stop Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson from running; why wouldn't you take advantage of that?

All I know is I have full trust in the team from the top down, and even though Minter is a rookie HC, I'll assume for now that this was the best hire they could have made. Let's hope it works out!

SkinnyPupp 02-02-2026 02:55 PM

Anthony Weaver coming back to Baltimore as DC

It's crazy that Minter and Weaver, both Mike Macdonald guys, came back. When the brain drain happened after the 2023 season, the Ravens kept Orr and let them go. Orr didn't work out (I think he still has a chance to improve) and they brought 2 of them back.

I really like it in theory, guys with ties to the team and were brought up in the Ravens/Michigan system going back years.

That's defense at least. On offense they have a 29 year old first time play caller monkaS

whitev70r 02-02-2026 03:37 PM

Weaver was a hot commodity ... interviewed for some HC position, I think. So to nab him as a DC ... horizontal move role wise but def better, team wise, nice grab !!

whitev70r 02-07-2026 08:35 PM

K, who's excited about Bad Bunny? Or are you tuning in to the Turning Point America half time show ??!!

I feel zero or very little desire to watch the SB ... it's always that one week break which kind of breaks the momentum. All I ask for is the kind of game with an exciting last possession drive for the go ahead FG or TD, with 0:02 seconds left on the clock. Congrats Seattle for your 4th SB appearance and your 2nd SB trophy.

SkinnyPupp 02-08-2026 01:34 AM

the extra week is so dumb

SkinnyPupp 02-08-2026 05:08 PM

Patriots offense playing like they have all playoffs long, but I expected the Seahawks to score at least 2 TDs by the half. But Pats secondary is keeping them in it, especially Gonzales. 9 point lead may be enough though

Great defensive battle so far!

pastarocket 02-08-2026 05:09 PM

Defensive battle between the Seahawks and Patriots. Seattle is winning because they are winning in defense.

Pressure and sacks from the Seahawks on Drake.

Christian Gonzalez with some big plays to deflect the ball on big pass attempts from Darnold.

whitev70r 02-08-2026 05:55 PM

Defensive only games are not my cup of tea. Glad I didn't bother watching the first half. Looking like a pathetic Pittsburgh Steelers kind of game 5 FG for the win.

MVP is the effin kicker??!!

SkinnyPupp 02-08-2026 06:31 PM

MVP is Gonzales for keeping this from being 43-0

pastarocket 02-08-2026 06:37 PM

Touchdown!

Finally, Drake airs out the ball!

Come on Pats!

As Brady would say in his comeback win over the Falcons to win a Super Bowl,

“Laser focus!!”

SkinnyPupp 02-08-2026 06:38 PM

Streaker interruption flipped the momentum, just like the power outage in 2012

Pats needed to go for 2 though

pastarocket 02-08-2026 06:49 PM

Drake with a fumble and now a pick.

pastarocket 02-08-2026 07:02 PM

Pats are cooked.

Seahawks defence is the MVP tonight.

Kenneth Walker III ran the ball very well in this Super Bowl.

SkinnyPupp 02-08-2026 07:05 PM

Out of respect for the true Pats fans here I won't express my hate. I do have takes!

BUT ANYWAY LET'S GOOOOOO HAWKS! My #2 TEAM :awwyeah: :awwyeah: :awwyeah: :awwyeah: :awwyeah:

whitev70r 02-08-2026 07:35 PM

Finally, a bit of offense in the 4th Q. Bit more entertaining towards the end but after NE finally got a touchdown, everything afterwards was just self-inflicting wounds and killed any sliver of hope for an exciting finish. With no vested interest, I still wanted Seattle to win ... NE needs to let other teams catch up in terms of number of SB's. Must suck for NE tonight but on the bright side, Maye is young, unfortunately (:lol), I think we'll see the Pats in the final 4 teams of the AFC vying for a spot in the SB for the foreseeable future.

Seattle finally revenges the lost to NE in 2015.
