At least we know skinny is alive and didn't get consumed in a fire... even though his team can't say the same |
Lots of mistakes were made, just have to move on and win the next ones. Even with the mistakes and tips, 2 TDs were wiped by a close fumble and a fake OPI penalty, then it's a tie game in the 4th. I think fans are overreacting like crazy (not as bad as Philly fans though LOL) Lamar is in rough shape so they will have to adjust their offense. Would like to see more run plays, maybe even 2-2 personnel with both Mitchell and Henry out there, since Lamar has to go full passer now. The RBs are so different, it would keep defense guessing. Hell go 3-1 with Ricard as FB as well |
oh damn ... CHI over PHI ... Bears are now 9-3 ... Philly 8-4 !! Bears are for real? Ravens was top of AFC North for 4 days, now back in 2nd place but should reclaim it this Sunday with a Buffalo win over Steelers (even with Rodgers back in). |
Bears are going to be for real, 100%. These are just the early signs, and the record really shows it! They are still putting things together, as Ben Johnson learns how to utilize Caleb Williams' skillset more and more. Incredible performance here, but just wait until Johnson has the personnel he wants on the field, instead of taking over someone else's team. The pace they played offense with was impressive from the start, and it made use of the conditions and paid off by the third quarter. Just running over and over with Swift and Manongai... Which is one of the post bye changes I noticed, since Swift is quite bad at making cuts and taking the wrong lane. So he mostly does outside or stretch plays outside the tackles, and Manongai the rookie is their inside zone and power back. Not every OC ends up being a good coach, but I think Johnson is legit. Philly is such a bad vibe, but we've seen this before |
Once again I didn't plan to get up to watch games live, but once again I woke up at 2:30 and remembered that I thought the Panthers might upset the Rams, so I dragged my ass out of bed and you know what? IT HAPPENED! :awwyeah: GREAT defense with forced turnovers, great play calling by Canales, great blocking by the line, great running by Hubbard and Dowdle, and CLUTCH QB play by BRYCE IS NICE on 4th downs! Also if you're cheering against the Chiefs, you wanted the Jags, Texans, Chargers to win. And you know what? IT HAPPENED :awwyeah: And if you're cheering for the Ravens you wanted the Steelers to BUNGLE their game against the Bills, and you know what? IT HAPPENED! :awwyeah: Vibes are so bad that they were chanting "Fire Tomlin" and BOOING RENEGADE! KEKW So yeah, fun day of ball. Commandos are making a game of it too. This game had one of the worst passes you'll see all year, and one of the best. |
Yah, any notables this week ... had to look real hard but SNF game saves the day with a thriller of a finish. 1. Funny to see fans in Pittsburgh chant, "Fire Tomlin". They were dismal and Bills wasn't even that good today. Something about a rushing record for visiting team at Steelers home stadium. AFC North is a joke, they used to be like 3 teams vying for a playoff spot, now they are laughing stock. 2. Indy is fading ... 3. Great SNF game. Sure didn't look like a 9-2 team Broncos vs. a 3-8 team Commanders. OT was insane, couple of crucial penalties both ways, what drama. Mariota playing pretty well. 4. NFC West has 3 teams with 9 wins! Wow! |
Cyber Monday Night Football! My Pats host the Giants. Go Drake go! I should troll a co-worker after his boy Jennings on his 49ers giving out trash talk to the Browns. :troll: Did Jennings cross the line with his trash talk? https://www.sportsnet.ca/nfl/article...game-comments/ -pretty soft of a wide receiver who has to hide behind his offensive line after trash talking the Browns. |
^ I think it should be a cakewalk ... 10-2 team vs. (mirror image) 2-10. |
Steelers most expensive salary D :lol |
This weekend has some HUGE games: Cowboys/Lions - Cowboys must win to stay alive. Lions have more life, but not much. Texans/Chiefs - Similar to above: a must win for the Chiefs. Texans can stay alive with a loss Colts/Jags - a must win for the division, but both stay alive for a WC spot Bears/Packers - same as above Steelers/Ravens - an absolute must win for both teams. Lose and they're basically out of the playoff picture, win and they're in |

Couldn't sleep at all last night, this is a big game! LFG! |
OK, Week 14 1. Wow ... poor Skinny, lost sleep over the Ravens vs. Steelers clash to have it turned out that way. No team really deserves to win the AFC North, every team is so terrible but they have to put one team through. Ravens might get one last chance on the last game of the season to correct today's blown chance and still get into the playoffs and give Tomlin his first losing season .. do it! 2. Hell of a game going on between Chi vs. GB, back and forth, precision offence, and good defence. Both of these teams are great to watch, still shaking my head how quickly the Bears got things turned around. Having the shirtless coach must help. GB just demonstrated their maturity over Chicago but still .. WHAT A GAME !! That is all worth mentioning, really. Nothing much else. |
Call Skinny a doctor, he might be down today. On another note my Seahawks are just steamrolling this year without many people talking about them. They're going to be a problem in the playoffs this year. |
Yah, Seahawks quietly rising to the cream of the crop. Hopefully, Sam Darnold learned from last year's playoff experience and it left a bitter taste in his mouth and he is zeroed in on changing the past narrative. |
How is it possible to fumble in the end zone? |
Easy ... #3: Must clearly perform a "football act". If the player loses control of the ball when falling to the ground before fulfilling these conditions, it is considered an incomplete pass. |

https://i.imgur.com/QyxmbkZ.png It was a completed catch, football move made, ball knocked out after the TD. Even Steelers fans are like yeah, the Ravens got totally fucked. There's no defending this call. sorry. Did you watch the game? There were several calls like this, and I was feeling like it's one of those games where all the bad calls went one direction. But this was egregiously bad. This was a game changing fuck up, and there's literally no way to defend it. Can't do anything about it now. I just wish they didn't have to play against 2021 Rodgers for half a game KEKW |
No commentators gave that call a lot of air time post game. Get over it and drive the ball into the endzone in the final drive of 4th Q and Ravens would get the W |
No disagreements there They got fucked. If they played better, it wouldn't matter as much. But they still got fucked |
Good job Houston! Thanks. Bye bye KC ... take a LONG break after the season. Retire 87 already and enjoy the married life. |
Chiefs and Bungles losing takes a bit of sting off today's loss. The only one getting their tonsils tickled by the Chiefs was Chris Collinsworth EleGiggle As you all know, I ONLY predict AFCN teams to split, no matter what any team's records are, so I figured the Ravens would drop one of the two Steelers games. I just wish it wasn't because the refs gifted them 18 points. Yes they should have been good enough to overcome an 18 point deficit handed to them by the refs, but this season isn't going that way. They can still win the division if they beat the Steelers in week 18, plus win one more game (to the Bungles, Patriots, or Packers), as long as Steelers don't win out (over the Dolphins, Lions, and Browns) Gambling sites will be raking it in because of today |
I have no vested interest in either team, I think if I had to choose I prefer the Ravens over the Steelers as a fan just sitting down to watch a game... but I do kinda understand the no TD call... I've seen the no football move / 3rd step on fumbles and INT's called multiple times this year so to me watching a few replay angles of it that looks like a correct application of the rule. I do think it's contradictory to the 2 feet in falling out of bound rule nevermind the breaking the plane rule which often involves people dropping the ball soon after when they're actaully nowhere near the endzone with the rest of their damn body lol NFL has some frustratingly whack rules. |
NFL admitted to the Ravens that they fucked up the roughing call on the long snapper. So that's 4 points given to the other team right there. We all know the TD was botched too (even if some won't admit it), so that's 11 points total given to the Steelers just based on referee incompetence. But even with just the 4, that means a FG would have won them the game at the end, even if you think the ruling on the TD was correct. Again, we all know that they should have played well enough to overcome the free points, and beat every other team easily, but it's not been a great season, so it sucks when that happens. Just have to hope the same thing doesn't happen and they beat them next time. Quote:
The rule doesn't say it CAN'T be a third step, but it doesn't say it has to be either. They fucked up, it's OK to admit that. The result can't be changed, it can only be explained, and they haven't done so. It's not a reach whatsoever to say that they just fucked up and cost the team a game. Just happened to be my team this time. |
Your thoughts on Shedeur Sanders? The rookie is improving in the games that he's played. https://www.nfl.com/news/browns-coac...nder-of-season Coach Kevin Stefanski announced Monday that the fifth-round rookie would be the starter for the rest of the campaign. "He has constantly and consistently gotten better in each one of these games and how he's approached this game," Stefanski said. "He's been working very hard, so I feel good about where his development is heading. He knows there are always going to be plays that he can be better and those type of things. But he's very intentional about getting better each and every game he's out there. |
I've been watching his The Tape, and it hasn't been good at all. He drops back like a backyard player, drifts into rushers, holds onto the ball, turns down reads. The play calling is 100% guard rails, with most of his completions coming from screen passes and short hitch routes. In other words, he looks very much like a 5th round rookie QB. He can flash with some impressive plays here and there though. I haven't seen yesterday's game though, so maybe it went better for him. It looks good on paper! |
