That's great! Now if the offensive line and entire defense all start playing well, they might have a chance to turn this season around

People thinking the Bears are an easy win are in for a rude awakening

Some notables for the week (so far):

1. Pats are for real ... we have a happy Pasta. They seem to be firing on all cylinders.

2. Broncos are for real ... is the Sean Payton trade finally starting to make a return for the investment?

3. NYJ gets their 1st win ... over Flacco and the Bengals.

4. Ravens get back on the W column. From boxscore, it looked like an easy win. Was there a bit of 'gamesmanship' on the Ravens? Said Lamar was limited, had the Bears prepping for Lamar, then on Sat, said he was out. NFL investigating - https://frontofficesports.com/lamar-...investigation/ - Baltimore could be disciplined for initially listing Jackson as a full participant in Friday’s practice and then, on Saturday, downgrading his game status to out while also retroactively changing his Friday practice status to limited.

Ravens looked like the Ravens again for the first time since the Bills game. And they were led on offense by SNOOP HUNTLEY! I swear the team drills hand catches like crazy these days, after top WRs dropping for most of Lamar's early career, and it sure paid off here with Snoop's "good enough" throws being caught. I had a feeling it would be worth staying up to watch even with Lamar out. This was the true 'make or break' game and now they control their own destiny at 2-5. I don't know if this is a 12-5 team at this point, but I'm into watching them try. Run blocking has to improve; Ricard barely took any snaps in his first game of the season.

I don't understand the practice designation thing... If they were saying Lamar was out all week and then he played, then I see an argument for shenanigans. They did it the other way though, clearly by accident, and I don't understand what the advantage would be. Like if you game planned for Lamar, it will probably be the same plan for Snoop, except even simpler. Bears (fans and media anyway) seem to be looking for excuses here, but maybe it's technically a rule break who knows. With all the gambling stuff going on, the league is probably going to be super harsh on it.

I then caught the end of the JETS game beating the Bengals as they BUNGLE a huge lead to lose the game at the end

The Brownies BUNGLED a career Myles Garrett 5 sack game to lose their game

And then the Squealers BUNGLED a 9 point lead at half, as they continue to predictably fall apart as soon as the schedule started to get tough

Good day of games!

3-5 baby!

Lamar looks to be in full form in the pocket, but his one run looked slow. I am way more concerned about Patrick Ricard who got fucking dump trucked constantly in this game. He might be like 40-50% back, and I hope he can get into form because their run game relies on him heavily.

Defense with 3 takeaways and holding the Dolphins to 6 was nice, but some of the credit has to go to the Dolphins just sucking. Still, defense has to make the plays, and they did. Still some moves to be made, and EDC is probably on the phone before this game even ended

"Boring" game but I was rocking a chub the whole time. Just wish we got another Jackson Five

Lookout AFC North ... Lamar and the Ravens are back.

And didn't miss too much, right in the thick of it, a game behind division lead.

Seems like a reasonable fine for what was most likely an error. I'm just glad they're not losing draft picks like teams actually attempting to cheat

Wasn't planning on staying up to watch games tonight, but I woke up at 2:30 and since DST ended, games were just starting so I thought what the fuck, get up and watch some games.

My god what day of ball! Some INSANE games today. I'll post more thoughts after I sleep. I might even stay up for SNF but waiting an hour will be rough (the downside of no DST)

Week 9 notables:
1. Steelers are for real ... not, they got lucky. Their D woke up but they are so inconsistent, I expect them to go back to their pattern of win 1, lose 1, win 1, lose 1.
2. Chicago vs. Cincy ... WTF? Gunslinging Williams vs. Flacco. Flacco almost twice the age so a lot of fun in that arena! That finish !!!
3. Min vs. Det ... sometimes a player just has a presence that can affect the outcome of the game. JJ McCarthy is one of them. Stats wise, he was terrible compared to Goff but Minny pulled out the W.
4. Panthers over GB - ??? puzzled about this one. How? Bryce Young with a QB rating of 48!
5. NE & Denver keep on winning
6. Buffalo Bills somehow always beat KC so no surprise there.
7. Want to see Ariz > Dallas on Monday

https://www.nfl.com/news/commanders-...ry-vs-seahawks

Jayden Daniels suffers a dislocated elbow after the Seakhawks 38-14 win over the Commanders. -expected to miss several games.

Impressed by Darnold's play this season. He cooked the Commanders with 4 TDs and threw for 361 yards.

Seattle's defence is good too. -relentless pass rush and two interceptions against Washington.

So yeah, the main game I watched was Colts @ Steelers of course. I need the Steelers to lose, and the Colts had the best record in the league. Thing is the Colts season has been easy up until now, with the Steelers the first real test. And holy shit did they fail! Steelers completely changed their defense coverage for this game, so they were basically unscouted and forced 5 turnovers from the Colts offense (and 1 on special teams). They still only won by 1 score, and I wouldn't expect this to catch other teams by surprise. But that sucked for me

I was also watching the Panthers, another pet team of mine, as I like to follow shitty teams that I think have potential with a great QB. They beat the Packers in a windy cold game with Rico Dowdle having another great game. It's crazy, he has these two 200 yard games while Hubbard is out, so when Hubbard comes back they split reps. Coach gets questioned on it, says yeah that didn't work, this guy is better than our expensive franchise guy, and he'll take over again. Boom another W

Next was the Bengals, with Flacco having another all time great game, and they BUNGLE it. That team is just broken.

Bills did a great job of getting to Mahomes all game, kept him down to like 50% completion rate and beat the Chiefs in a regular season game, as they always do. They are like 5-1 now, but 0-4 against them in the playoffs.

Then the Seahawks blowout, which I called before the game. Commandos defense is just old and beat up, and Darnold had nearly a perfect game picking them apart. Couldn't feel worse for Jayden Daniels though, that was a gruesome injury. Still no report yet that I have seen, so who knows how long he'll be out. At least it was his non throwing arm.

Arizona holds Cowboys offense scoreless in the first half, great showing by them. Jake Brisket making it look like Kyler is the bust, rather than Marvin Harrison Jr
