When the hell did having breakfast at work become a thing anyway? Lol
what???? you DON'T have breakfast at work? the job i used to work was from 7:30 - 4:30. 1 hr lunch (1/2 was paid) 2 breaks. and to be 1000% honest... do you go pee and poop 5 mins before you leave??? of course.. i'm going to do that on company's time.
I have no problem enjoying coffee or cereal esp when I come in at 7:30 in the morning. Heck, we even have toasters that sort of thing... Does it get frowned upons.. MEH... Is it technically legal.. i have no idea... i mean i surfed RS since 2002 so i guess eating breakfast while i'm doing it ain't so bad.
Xenogears is one of my favourite RPGs of all time. This popped up in my youtube recommendations and it really stirs some deep-seated memories of me playing this when i was in grade 8 / grade 9. i must have played this game like 10x over.
I'm tempted to get it because my son has an iPad now and we need a second Apple device to administer his child account, that and the price is not bad. I'm not a fan at all of Win11, and with my wife starting to slowly slide into the tech realm for her career, getting her comfortable with Mac would be helpful.

$679 using EDU pricing (open to everyone) is a steal for what it is and a perfect replacement for so many home users like my wife (who is still on her Intel MacBook). Schools are gonna eat this up - it may be 2-3x the purchase price of a cheap Chromebook but the lifetime costs will be really similar or better.
I'm curious if anyone has dealt with a failed dishwasher before?
I've got a basic Whirlpool dishwasher and it stopped circulating water during a cycle. I know for sure there is water, but it's not being sprayed around and the water isn't circulating. Evidence that there is water is because I can hear it fill and if I open it mid-cycle, there's water at the bottom pan, and I can hear it drain. At the end of the wash cycle, I see the dishwasher pod popped out and fully intact. The dishes aren't clean and they are dry from the heat cycle.
My suspicion is the circulating pump is toast. During the cycle, I just hear a light humming sound. The spray arms are clean, including the filter screen. The unit is about five years old. Any leads before I tear it apart? Thanks in advance.
I have a Kitchenaid, which is essentially a rebadged variant of Whirlpool.
I had to take apart the sump to replace the diverter shaft seal. Wasn't too difficult. Lots of youtube videos available to help. I can't imagine the pump assembly is too much more difficult, if you can wrench on a car you can wrench on a dishwasher IMO.
How were you able to diagnose the diverter shaft seal needed replacement?
Doing some preliminary research, I'll basically have to disconnect the dishwasher and flip it on to its side to reveal the bottom where the circulation pump is. It's either clogged with stuff or straight up failed.

I noticed a small leak coming out the front one day. I took off the kickpanel while it was running and saw where the leak was coming from. Googled common leaks and found this reddit thread with a leak from exactly the same spot as mine. Repair Video link was in there and even the O-Ring part# (bought a two pack from amazon for like 10 bucks, and left the spare taped to the inside of the kick panel)

Apple is gonna sell a shitload of these.
Only if it had 16 gigs of ram. It only comes with 8.

I have a M3 MacBook Air with only 8GB and it's 95% fine for the kinda stuff people will use a Neo for. Do I wish I got 16GB? Yeah but my laptop at the time was just a web surfing machine (I had a MBP with 32GB as my work machine) so 8GB worked fine. I'll check my activity monitor to see what RAM usage is like from time to time and I am right up to the max but I only sometimes run into a brief blip.
The folks who get Neos won't be doing anything interesting enough that 16GB is an absolute necessity. It would have been nice to see it get 12GB as that would have been enough to really future proof it.
