i get the same attitude in chinatown in the middle of the night from drunk old women yelling about how i cant speak chinese heck i get that in chinese restaurants too then i have to speak chinese and they act totally differently
what im saying is happens everywhere from everyone
I have a neighbor like that too from montreal, speaks french amd english, and used to bitch at other neighbors and looks down at multicultural vancouver...
Lol at the fact that the asian dudes even bothered to respond and make it a big deal......should've just walked away from this guy who was clearly drunk as fuck, or just sit there and mock him.....made them look just as stupid if you ask me...
As soon as I saw the guy in the video, I said..."yup. figures"
The trench, he's younger, the hat...he's just one of those younger guys that thinks he's saving the world.
You'll recognize him, as last week he was at Occupy saying that he didn't need a job, he needs rich people to share their wealth by handing him food and money.
Typical French thinking they are better then everyone else. He should go to France and see what they say about him..... That would be the culture shock he needs.

What fucking restaurants are you frequenting? I've never been to a Chinese restaurant in all of GVA that refused or harrased me because i couldn't speak Chinese.
and there are drunk Chinese ladies in Chinatown wandering in the middle of the night? Wtf?
I think the folks in Quebec go to the polls today for a provincial election. The party favoured to win wants to seperate. The next couple years could bring back a referendum similar to the one in 1995. Maybe thirds the charm...

Yah...ppl can be so racist...
Next time you hear him bitch, tell this idiot that if he does not like how vancouver is,he can leave and go back to Montreal where he belongs, nobody is forcing him to stay.
If you really want to piss him off, tell him the offical languages for Vancouver is english & cantonese/mandarin,people here refuse to speak french here cause it's useless. He will go ape shit,I know,I've done it to a few ignorant french canadians already....fun times.

"yelling about how i cant speak" they aren't harassing me about it (since it doesn't seem like they can speak more than a few words of english ) they're either talking to someone next to them or to themselves
has happened a number of times throughout the years, the last time it happened was at Hon's in richmond (years ago) can't recall what the place was in chinatown but i wouldnt be surprised if it was hons too

Quebec seperates.. Canada invades.

Sad to say, but I'm actually surprised it didn't end with violence. The French dude was being very confrontational. Had he been doing that to someone who was intoxicated and/or just as confrontational, different result.

Only if there was a troll yelling "worldstar" in FRENCH!
