Canadian Tire Liquidation... pt deux

Well looks like they unpacked more stuff and doing the liquidation again...

Important fact, everything is 50% off this time... unlike the first time(75%)

What do you mean a buyers premium?

EX. Dremel Tool CT Retail: $100
How much would I have to pay for it?

LP700-4 09-05-2012 01:29 PM

Really? I went to the recent one aka CT Part 1 and it was just 75% off. No premium or anything like that.

If im not mistaken for example something is 100 bucks it would be 50% off so just plainly 50 bucks.

604STIG 09-05-2012 02:16 PM

There's no 15% buyers premium when they liquidate stuff, only when it's an auction. (As far as I know) There will, however, most likely be tax.

Laundry 09-05-2012 03:27 PM

Yeah there's no BP, there will be a price tag on the item, take 50% off, add tax and that's what you'll pay...

At the last liquidation I bought a pool table with a $399.99 tag got it for $100 plus tax..

This time though, everything is 50% off not 75%...

jack3d 09-06-2012 06:04 AM

how packed do these things usually get?

iKayChow 09-06-2012 06:25 AM

i remember seeing a hockey puck for 4 dollars.. when they sell it for one dollar :alone:

dvst8 09-06-2012 07:02 AM

good to know. thanks everyone

FerrariEnzo 09-06-2012 08:18 AM

how crazy was the lineup on the first day of the first liquidation?

LP700-4 09-06-2012 08:42 AM

Not bad if you go right when it opens. Maybe a 3-4 minute line?

Then wait another 30 minutes browsing and its up to a 40 minute line almost.

Best bet if you want to go later is to have one person line up while the others go browse and then alternate. (If you have more than 1 person going with you)

Teh Doucher 09-06-2012 08:49 AM

I don't get it, does it start at 10am or 3:29pm? Has both times listed for some weird reason.

Laundry 09-06-2012 11:15 AM

10 am, but the last time I went they let us in 10 or 15min early...

MG1 09-06-2012 08:25 PM

People who have signed up for Able Auctions e-mail notifications get to go in before general public by an hour on Friday.

CHANNERS 09-07-2012 09:33 AM

Going tmr morning, hopefuly there is something good to pick up and not waste my gas.

bubba_g 09-07-2012 02:13 PM

Was there at 12ish, there's like a one or two person lineup for paying. Pretty dead compared to the 75% off days.

TopsyCrett 09-07-2012 05:03 PM

Yeah it was pretty dead at 2, got a 2 1/2 ton jack for $15 and a few detailing supplies.

lilaznviper 09-07-2012 06:31 PM

Planning to to tomorrow morning and hope there isn't a lot of people

Gilgamesh 09-07-2012 06:32 PM

Went at 2-ish as well. Very bare minimum things, but a lot of bikes and some Calgary Flames memorabilia. They have hockey sticks for little kids and a hockey net for 100 ($50) I think. Random list: Shovels, yoga mats, bike pumps (handheld 3.99 ones). sandals (wilson) , shoes, some picture frames, magic bowl, first aid kits, small assortment of tools.

Probably see you there tomorrow.

I'm hoping to get some of that instant grass seed stuff at half off. Got some of ones in the shaker bottles last time. It worked well, so hoping for the larger bag types.

lilaznviper 09-08-2012 08:07 AM

can't find place on google maps street view

lilaznviper 09-08-2012 11:16 AM

Not a lot of deals. Only bought some 14gauge power cables and garden hoses. Barely anyone there
