To this day, the best phone I've owned that took great pictures was an Ericsson K790:
Why don't manufacturers integrate a xenon flash like these old phones? Too bulky? Too costly?

Honestly speaking here and not hating, but is anybody else anticipating Nokia's Lumia 920 more than the iP5?

Only hope now is that come out with some really cool/useful apps that utilize the processor Posted via RS Mobile | I've been building PC's for 20 years now. It's always been the same. Pick a CPU/motherboard. Install your RAM. Put it into a case and mount up your drives. Install your video card. Maybe a sound card if you don't like on-board audio. Connect everything up and install your OS.
Nothing has changed in 20 years. Sure we have much faster CPU's and graphic cards, hard drives have gotten larger and cheaper, and we've gone from CD-ROM to DVD to Blu-Ray. But the basic PC has changed very little. I've built 2 new rigs the last 4 years and the only improvement was they got faster. They never gained any groundbreaking features - only a few minor updates like hard drive interfaces and USB ports.
Now think about Windows. In the last 10 years what "amazing" new features have you seen appear in Windows? Mobile OS's are getting to the same stage that Windows is - they are full-featured and there won't be a lot of "huge" features added to them.
And where do you draw the line between the OS and the App? At what point do you decide if a feature should be part of an App or the OS itself? Should you just put everything (including the kitchen sink) into the OS so that it becomes bloated? Should you make a barebones OS and rely on App developers to add the features everyone wants?
As to the new A6 processor we'll have to wait and see what Apps come out. Certainly games are an obvious choice. In my case I had an idea for a tablet App but the iPad 1 wasn't nearly powerful enough. The iPad 2 with the much faster A5 finally let me start development. So I think it's very likely developers have ideas that weren't ready for prime time due to hardware limitations.

Anyone have verified specs on the comparison between the 4S and the 5. I'm finding a lot of bogus articles online about the iPhone 5 |

The keynotes lack pizazz. Scott Forstall and Tim are robots just talking the same thing every time.
"Only Apple can do this."
"Most advanced operating system"
"So many new features"
I had a dejavu, same shit as WWDC.
It's come a long way since Steve's 2007 keynote that blew everyone away. No one get's surprised anymore. So many leaks regarding iPhone 5.

Its Apples fault, their brilliant marketing over the Iphone has a side effect and that is they have to try and live up to their own Hype and that Hype compounds year after year
that's why the Ipad3 and the Iphone5 has been so disappointing for people
you can't blame people for expecting when Apple has instilled in them the emotions to feel that way

^^someday it will catch up to them but now apple's brand its still so high up people will buy anything they make just because it is the latest and greatest that apple has...and thats why their marketing is number one and thats why they are the most successful tech company ever. They sell a brand and don't have to sell spec loaded tech like other manufacturers to lure customers...it is what it is Apple is number 1 right now but anything on top must come down just look at RIM's position now...

Maybe the N95 from '06, and that's pushing it.
