you can't "add a vehicle" to the same account. each plate is it's own account and will receive 20 free trips.

My mom signed up my brother's and my dad's car to her account, and she said there credit for each vehicle? My mom had to call Treo directly in order for them to add them to the account. The person on the other line said, if people have the same address as the account holder, then its ok to use the same account. I don't live with my mom, so she couldn't add me to her account.

TReO info compromised
COQUITLAM (NEWS1130) - Several hundred people already set up for the new Port Mann Bridge tolling system are being warned their info may have been compromised. Letters have been sent to 271 TReO customers.

Mike Proudfoot, who runs the Transportation Investment Corporation, says it's all because of one man working at their Coquitlam call centre.

"It was determined that he handled these accounts without the proper authorization. Immediately after identifying that, the individual was fired and the matter was turned over to the Coquitlam RCMP for investigation."

Proudfoot says no online information was in danger, and says all steps taken are simply a precaution. "The info includes the name, address, vehicle identification number and their payment mechanism. This is information provided to this one individual only, over the phone."

TReO is the electronic way customers will pay the $1.50 tolls once the new bridge opens in December. Over 50,000 accounts have already been set up.

^I read that, but didn't know what happened.

"compromised, because he handled without authorization."

Is that just a euphemism for "sold information"?

nabs 10-01-2012 01:55 AM

on the website there is an Add Vehicle button that you can add additional vehicles to your account...

I don't see anything about any credits on the account though, should there be?

The article says "may have been compromised" meaning the call center had some guy working those calls when it should've been someone else. This random guy could be there to steal and sell personal info, or it could just be some guy who wasn't given the clearance to handle those calls.

TollFree Protector® - Make your vehicle invisible to toll road cameras!
Wonder if this works...

zilley 11-30-2013 05:12 PM

I dont know how well that works but if I remember there's a product similar.
And there's also a spray.

pb.kidz 11-30-2013 05:22 PM

The bridge uses HD Video cameras I can see the infra-red LED glowing from the cameras at night. Also sets off laser alerts from my Radar detector/

Lomac 11-30-2013 06:45 PM

Go mudding before travelling the bridge.

Problem solved.

Just do what I see people do all the time... switch over to the HOV lane just before the toll picture takers... then switch back.

This one guy in a silver Beemer.. seen him three times now. Cheapskate.

dared3vil0 12-03-2013 12:13 PM

Wait, what does switching to the HOV lane do to save on tolls?
