If you're an HOV (High Occupancy Vehicle) driver, that's all the more reason to register your vehicle. When you do, you'll receive a 25% discount during peak periods (Monday to Friday, from 6:30am to 8:30am, and 4:00pm to 6:00pm) when you drive with two or more occupants in the HOV lane as you pass under the toll point. |
That's dumb. It should at least coincide with HOV hours. |

Guys, just a reminder, if you get a new license plate, let Treo know about it. I just found out the hard way that it will cost you big time if you forget to let them know. I did get an adjustment done, but with a lot of convincing. Still got charged more, but it was better than paying a ridiculous amount. It would have been worse if I hadn't decided to check my account, out of the blue. I noticed I wasn't being charged the last two weeks or so on my account. Anyway........ |
Good thing you just posted that. I let one of my vehicles lapse and the insurance guy accidentally issued me a new plate. I got refunded the plate fee but once a new plate is issued, it can't be reversed. Would've sucked if I had to go back and forth with Treo to get my account sorted out, after that fact. |
On top of the hassles with transfering the plate number to your account, you have to get a new windshield decal. I drive by the place every day, so no problem for me. I'm going this afternoon to get new decal. I'm kind of happy with that, because I can now install the new dashcam where it works best........ right where the decal is right now. As a side note, you can have the new decal mailed to you. I guess they cancel old decal and rely on plates to ID your vehicle for the time being. |
I was too lazy/forgot to put a decal on that vehicle but since the plate was registered, since it scans for both, I always got charged the discounted rate. I should just have to call in and have the plate changed and then put my old, unused decal on. From my understanding, they don't register the decals to your plate at the office, they just "sync" when you get scanned over the bridge. |
If I transfer plates from a car that has a TReO sticker, do I have to transfer the sticker as well? Or can I just keep crossing without being charged the stupid license fee or whatever it's called? |
You destroy the decal that's on the previous car and get a new one from Treo. Actually, the decal is meant to break apart if you attempt to remove it. The decal is free, so try to get one ASAP. There's a Treo building on both sides of the Port Mann. Why wait for it in the mail? Hours of operation is on their web site. https://www.treo.ca/contact-us/ Coquitlam Surrey Phone Monday to Friday: 6am-9pm 6am-9pm 6am-11pm Saturday: 9am-6pm 9am-6pm 6am-11pm Sunday: 9am-6pm 9am-6pm 6am-11pm December 20, 2013: 6am-7pm 6am-7pm 6am-7pm December 24, 2013: 9am-5:30pm 9am-5:30pm 8am-6pm December 25, 2013: Closed Closed Closed December 26, 2013: 9am-5:30pm 9am-5:30pm 8am-6pm Holidays: 10am-6pm 10am-6pm 6am-11pm Fricken hell......... first set of times are for Coquitlam Location. Second set is for the Surrey Location. Third set is for phone. Do table tags work? LOLOLOLOL. Anyway, the decal has a built in antenna and pulling it off the windshield damages it. That's why they tell you not to bend the decal when applying it. |
