You know that Global was just salivating being able to add that knowing the animosity it will drum up. Like seriously... a "race" at 130km/h on the highway with a 328i and a Land Rover... wtf.

If it was actually a race it would've been 200km +
130km is cruising speed while eating and talking on the phone.

It's funny how few people actually read the article, they weren't impounded for excessive speeding...

Quote:
Witnesses said the cars were passing vehicles on the shoulder of the roadway and following behind each other as they weaved in and out of traffic.

The officers saw the cars as they passed through the Chilliwack area.

Three of the four vehicles were seen attempting to block the traffic from passing, by driving slowly in the travel portion of the highway.

Police say racing drivers will work together to prevent other traffic from passing to allow the racing vehicles a clear area to gain high rates of speed.

I drive through that area often as well. Most cars are usually going 100km/h with a few at 110-115km/h in my experience. It's a pretty rough road with a lot of exits and curves in good weather, and prone to severe foul weather making even 100km/h very hazardous through winter.
