Or ill go to seymour if they open since I have a pass anyways. Just need a fix asap from any mountain. |
Can I have the coupon code please :) Posted via RS Mobile |
Picked up the $5 less coupon at Comor last night. Going to get the gold medal card on Saturday and pick up a discounted day pass too unless the whole mountain is open too. Anyone know how the snow is? |
^ depends on if by saturday the whole mountain is open. if its open and full price for lifts then just use your free day when you buy your gmc. if not then since you have the gmc you can have the discount lift price with the additional discount from the gmc. btw price increased today i noticed because they opened up lions express for collins run. I'm itching to go as well, but school has been keeping me pretty busy since there's only a week of school left. |
Rode grouse today...it sucked, but it was awesome. Fun jib line, pretty quiet too. They have a good amount of snow coverage up there, so I bet this weekend they will open some stuff. |
Last week of school is next week, might wax the old park skis and make a trip up to Whistlar. |

I haven't boarded in about three years. But, when I did I was half decent. I could do blacks no problem. Thing is i'm going to go with the girlfriend who has only boarded once, but is actually pretty good for only going once. Is it worth going to cypress or grouse vs seymour? I am essentially going to be teaching her the entire time as we are planning a group trip to Whistler so she wanted some practice. I don't think i've ever gone to Seymour and I know it's the smallest. Would you guys suggest just going to seymour or would it be worth the extra money to go to cypress/grouse? Thanks. |

Besides the couple-friendly nature, Easy Rider and Collins are probably the best green runs in the city. Easy Rider has a nice slow lift, good big runout, lifties that pay attention when you fall, and a nice wide mellow slope to practice falling leaf in. Collins is just as great, just as mellow, and just as wide as Easy Rider, so right there you have 2 great runs to teach and progress in. Plus, Collins has a nice varied slope, with an uphill that teaches you to NOT slow down unless you want to do the Walk of Shame, a fairly steep (for beginners) hairpin turn and then a nice mellow slope to do ~100 skidded turns in. Go with Cypress if you want to learn/teach riding. |
Wow, thanks for the information. I appreciate it. You definitely sold me on Cypress. My girlfriend and I were even talking about how she had trouble with the chair lift. That's going to help her out a lot. Thanks |

You just have to call it out as you approach the ramp if you want the lift slowed down. Otherwise theyll just let you off at the regular speed. |
Its fucking going off in Japan. Can't believe its still November. A little vid I put together from the footage I got yesterday. Yewww! |
Wow looks like a sick pow day, I love it when the runs arent groomed! |
