+1 on the not sharing, it's pretty gross considering how much saliva is involved. I personally have a habit of slightly biting down on mine and slobbering up the end, that would be absolutely disgusting to share.

The flavour from a good cuban cigar is generally heavier and more intense than those from other countries. As such, the flavour might be too strong for those that aren't really used to smoking cigars. Cigars from Dominican Republic tend to have a lighter flavour, and is probably easier for non-regulars.
And, while you're enjoying your cigar, take the time to really enjoy it and never rush through it. A cigar isn't a cigarette. It isn't meant to be finished in 5 min or even 15. You don't have to keep puffing it -- even if it means the "fire" burns out. If it does burn out, so be it -- just light it up again. Cigar smoking is meant to be relaxed and savoured.

id get something with a nice gauge to it, like 48-52 but shorter
then you get that boss, im smoking a huge fucking cigar feeling, but enough tobacco to be manageable for new guys

i know its a little late but im currently selling cigars ATM in china, & would like to know where i can price info online for vancouver (its too expensive for me to bring a whole box back)
im look to buy some just for friends as they have never had any before period (iirc mont no.4 is about $20 each)

For my first cigar, I went with what Citycigar recommended.
I can't remember the exact name, but it was from Romeo y Julieta.
I still have 2 other ones to try, which I might do this weekend.
I'll take a look at them when I get home to see what they recomended me.

I recommend filling it out with the different cigars that you try especially if you don't plan on smoking regularly. 6 months or a year from now you may find yourself looking to buy another cigar, very handy to know what you've smoked and how it was.

Anyone here have a humidor?
Came back from cuba last week and bought some cigars, a humidor as well.
I just seasoned it, and set up a the digital hygrometer.
The box is currently 65*F and 74 RH.
humidity seems a bit high? but maybe the humidifier will settle? anyone know?

I think 69-72 is recommended humidity for most humidors. Mine was always set at 71

It's been a few days already, sits around 65F 74Rh
Ill give it more time. Ideally I'd like to see 70Rh as the humidifier I have in there says its supposed to regulate it at that mark
