I've never been called out on a tip before but it wasn't even a bad tip IMO, maybe I've been doing it wrong?

After I walked away I wish I would have said oh sorry give me that back and then just handed him $23.

A few years back, right before Covid, went to Vegas with my wife, her mom, and brother. Cabbie dropped us off at The Palazzo. I paid the driver, and we walked off. This fucker had the balls to track us down at front desk and said we didn't pay enough/no tip. I know I saw $23 on the fare reader and I gave him $30. So I walked back to his cab and looked at the reader and it read $28. I gave him a few extra bucks and apologized I may have read it wrong. Now, at that time, I haven't been in Vegas for quite a few years, so I wasn't too sure what latest cab ride would've costed. Now I think back, I'm pretty sure that fucker either took a longer route or delayed his reader on us.

You know on the regular side, they have some theaters with only 40 seats. Its basically VIP without vip price.

I will never go see another movie not in VIP lol

That’s the only way to watch a movie, I only watch like 1-2 movies a year in theatre anyways though

I would have just laughed in his face. What’s he gonna do ? Booo hooo to the hotel ?

GLOW 06-14-2023 01:11 PM

can't you just pay a cab via credit card? once you paid you paid and that's it right?

JDMDreams 06-14-2023 01:14 PM

So I don't get it who buys a $5m house and it's looking to rent out both the laneway and basement to live like a village. Also no parking. Also city assessed is only $3.9 so how does 3.9 turn into 5+

Hakkaboy 06-14-2023 01:30 PM

There's a reason why that house has been for sale at that price since April 19, 2022

When you offer $5M on a $3.9M

Spoiler!

GLOW 06-14-2023 02:23 PM

maybe they lost $ on the deal and trying to make up for it.

I gotta think small family-run restaurants are probably feeling some slowing-down in business, but the larger high-end places that benefit from corporate spending still seem like they are going strong. Whenever I am taking clients out, especially for lunches, places are still packed. And tourists/cruise ships are in town right now, which also take up some tables.

Harvey Specter 06-14-2023 02:50 PM

I can't think of another city on this planet where you can find $3 million plus homes with rental basement suites and laneway houses. This highlights the messed up state of our real estate market.

bcedhk 06-14-2023 03:58 PM

dumb design for a house that is located so close the the busiest truck route network in the Lower Mainland

JDMDreams 06-14-2023 04:23 PM

Well the donelle? Group just filed for bankruptcy a few weeks back, though I don't go to their restaurants so I dunno.

Badhobz 06-14-2023 07:58 PM

westopher 06-15-2023 11:27 AM

They need to make things more affordable for rich Canadians by getting poor Canadians to stop being able to buy stuff.
Badhobz and traum I'll message you. I don't publicly post where I work on here cause I'm too controversial lol.

Because the mortgage payment on a smaller house with no rentals will be around the same if not higher.

JDMDreams 06-15-2023 12:00 PM

Just read this, pretty good read, yea basically all the young people getting the fuck out and cities are screwed cuz no young people will live there

Hondaracer 06-15-2023 12:27 PM

Hakkaboy 06-15-2023 01:49 PM

Speaking of East Van, is this now the price of a new build near fraserview? Asking close to $3.5M for 1 single carport?

wow, pricing aside, I would not have guessed that he house is only 5 years old (built 2018).

westopher 06-15-2023 02:10 PM

I literally hate it haha. It's crazy to see 5+ million dollar homes that don't have a single feature that interests me beyond that it has 4 walls and a roof.

unit 06-15-2023 02:11 PM

ppl are just trying to cash their houses like lottery tickets.
