Maybe because he's the perfect example of someone fucking the next generation by treating the housing market as a stock portfolio so he's got money to leave his wife and kids to go bang some hookers in east Asia? |

edit; Actually, I guess it does bother me because i'm completely jealous and envious.. haha But I meant that in a very playful tone. |

He said, "Peanutbutter, your opinion isn't worth a damn because you can't afford a $13M condo. If you could, your opinion wouldn't be what it is today" Thinking about that, I think he's right. I don't have the mindset of someone who could afford a $13M condo. |

I’m sure I’m posted these before but compared to that 13m at Vancouver house the trumps main PH was wayyyyy crazier and it had infinitely more potential. Unfortunately I thought I had more interior pics but I kind of got the vibe peeps didn’t like having pics taken at the top https://i.imgur.com/k0gSL19.jpg The views to be had from the 72nd floor and another lower level https://i.imgur.com/TIwFRCN.jpg https://i.imgur.com/EyvDzfo.jpg https://i.imgur.com/UqTc8jT.jpg Could have sworn I had pics of the interior and the giant welded in place staircase. I only saw it when they were framing interior walls and the basic structure was there but it was gonna be crazyyyy the building is kind of segmented off as a rounded triangle at the top, the north west unit kind of takes up the tip of the triangle over 3 stories More and more buildings are doing jams similar to this now but generally on a lower quality like “gold house” in metro and other metro high rises may use a veneered or stain grade frame like this, however many still do not use the mortise(sp) set handset and locks like these do. These also have a beautiful matching door casing that ends up looking more like millwork than a casing https://i.imgur.com/t0UuXci.jpg There is some legit crazy real estate here way crazier than what you ever see usually in sales ads. I’ve been lucky to see into a few pretty crazy places between 5-20 million and that’s really just the tip of the iceberg I’m sure there’s kids on the west side that just go to one another’s 5/6/7 million dollar pads being bored like us poors lol |
Not much meat on the one bed presales after fees. One rule change regarding flipping and you're fucked. Unless you can afford to carry all 5 of them to completion. |

BC passes "cooling off" period for home buyers https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/bc-h...ing-off-period WTF so buyers can just walk away from a deal? |
How the hell do you write the details of a law after you pass it? The BC REA's suggestion of a pre-offer period (IE a minimum 2 week period before offers can be made on a property after its listing date) seemed to be a much more solid idea. It doesn't look like the government even gave that idea a consideration. Seem like they're just shooting from the hip at this point. |
WTF is this, that's like saying exhausts are illegal without clear testing guidelines or equipment :troll: In communist Canada laws write you :lawl: |
Spoiler! Trump is overrated. Aside from location and views, quality is pretty lousy. I believe they renovated recently to sell. They split it into 3 units for 10-20 million each. Why would you want to share a floor with someone else? i rather have the entire place and sell it for more for privacy. Saw some old flooring (cracked) and wasn't going to replace it but patch it instead. |
There were 3 separate PH units to begin with? Each had 2 floors plus the roof? I dunno..it may not be a 3 harbour green in terms of the tiny details but imo the finishing and millwork was very good (with that said I never saw the PH’s finished) |
6947 Whithorn Ct, Vancouver https://www.zealty.ca/mls-R2670549/6...-Vancouver-BC/ Assessed $1.267M Asking $1.119M Sold $1.150M Leasehold non-strata detached on a small lot but much better value than a freehold duplex for 1.5-2x the price |
Leasehold, you need to renegotiate the lease every 50 -100 years? |
99 year leases are the norm IIRC although a quick search shows that the COV owned False Creek South lands has 60yr agreements. |
I think the leases around Granville Island ends around 2030  |
Saw a couple of posts about house insurance few pages back.. just curious what people are paying for detached house? I shopped around squareone, td, brokers, ect. and all is a lot higher than my stratified TH. $1900/yr including earthquake, 2m liability, sewage backup, ect. Pretty comprehensive. This seems a bit high ? |

Mine is $1650/yr, but my place isn't worth anywhere near what a detached is down there lol. |
