I say just make RS private, no new members and no more guests lurking. And maybe in exchange, we'll all promise to turn off our ad-blockers while on RS lol

I can't tell you how geeky and ridiculous it sounds explaining to the GF that the guy who msged her isn't even from Vancouver, and is some troll poster who had a beef because we argued about politics and some irrelevant crap on the forum

Nothing could be conveyed as shit talk. None of us on here really know your girlfriend and run in your circle.
You have these conversations with those close to you and all of a sudden the rift with the mutual friends you’ve built in the time you’ve been together can stay with the “bros” disrespecting her or the girls having an issue with you. It’s about as unbiased opinions on the situation you could have gotten, and she’s never going to need to be embarrassed about the situation with any of us cause she doesn’t even know we exist. None of us even know her name unless we stalk her via tidbits of information because we are some recluse sociopaths with no human interaction other than being a forum troll.
I’m dealing with that right now as one of the bros. My buddy has unloaded about his GF who he’s on the rocks with and truthfully, if they work it out, I’m never going to look at her the same, and it’s gonna be weird and will probably end up with me getting blackout at the wedding and ruining everyone’s time lol.

It's amazing to see that Mike cares enough about saving his relationship that he's willing to consult a bunch of geeks on how to best support his partner during the most important decisions of their lives
He did so without speaking anything negative about his partner as well!

Eventually leaving to lost respect for that partner who may end up as a life partner.

It's the bro code to not spill any of the beans, or even let any of the negative emotions show in front of the gf, isn't it?
With close friends, I would have imagined that most guys would at least know some dirt about each other's SO. It's a similar thing with some inlaws too, I'd imagine. You maintain a cordial relationship with them.
Or at least you try.

Or at least you try. | No one’s made of stone. I’ll keep the peace, but if I’ve lost respect for someone the relationship we have won’t be the same moving forward until it’s mended. I also am not gonna hold an unnecessary grudge for eternity but when it’s someone who’s become a close friend as the partner of a close friend cracks in that respect will show even if it’s just showing through a new awkwardness or silence.

We've visited them twice, once when they lived in Halle, outskirts of Leipzig, and once where they are now in Aachen. Yes they are full Shanghainese, but they do not act like it, and yes they speak German, much better than their English. Quote:

There's a couple in my friend groups that are like that, the girl and guy from separate groups, but there was some crossovers here and there and everyone knew everyone.
One side would complain about something in the relationship and whether you agree with it or not, it still sucks.
The couple are happily married now and have two kids, but damn was it rough for a few years stuck between them

West and you guys have it right, my whole reason to post about it here was to get some non-biased opinions from some anonymous folks that I respect.
I've talked enough about these issues with family, and friends, and West is right it's all going to be biased in my favour, which isn't exactly the advice I'm always looking for. It's easier to be impartial and honest with a stranger than someone you're close to.
I figured she'd take me writing those diatribes as almost a sign of grief, how much this whole thing has weighed on me to put into the ether such personal problems. Unfortunately she didn't see it that way, and decided to focus on some of the funny comment/responses, the small boobies remark (which I didn't even say or validate), and the discussion of her debt.
I had to explain to her we all talk about personal shit on this forum, pick each others brains as almost a third-space of sorts, as many here have very thoughtful and well laid out opinions and ideas. She eventually calmed down and began to understand where I was coming from.
That was definitely not a good fight to happen right now though, so once again VLAD, karma always come back the other way buddy.

Barely any English though, but my cousin's wife's English is fine. The conversations we had were a flowing from canto/eng/German the whole time. We got weird looks from the local Germans when we were out for dinner.

I'm no expert but it might be ideal for both of you to accept that your relationship is in a place of notable instability and either work it out or just move on. Obviously, it's not an overnight thing but it's feeling a bit slippery from what I'm reading.
The reason I say this is that by doing it this way, the validation this interloper feels would become null & void. The person did this to get the last laugh against you but if you and her work something out, regardless of which direction, then that troll's actions become meaningless.
