Thanks! I wasn't a big fan of it when it was silver, liking it way better now that its black. And yeah I'm around richmond quite often. What do you drive?

Close to it. I'm still decided between glossing it, leaving it matte or going with a pearl look.

I really just want to see the FRS in colours that aren't available for it.

Yellow was no 1 on my list and Green was no 2

No 3 is purple lol don't hate me

Has anyone used silver metalizer before? I'm considering doing Gunmetal grey with a silver metalizer on top, curious how that would look...

kwy 08-20-2013 03:23 PM

Metalizers seem to be thinner and runnier than standard matte dips..just be careful with how thick you lay it on to avoid running

kwy 08-22-2013 04:12 PM

Lightly smoked some tail lights..

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...psfcb1c987.jpg

That's what one can looks like (plus 3 coats glossifier). The brake lights are on, they're darker than they appear in this photo.

JesseBlue 08-22-2013 04:17 PM

i personally don't like anything on the tail lights...its the headlight equivalent of yellowing...:heckno:

kwy 08-22-2013 04:25 PM

If I had an Altezza, Maxima, or Altima with those ugly chrome tails I wouldn't mind smoking them lightly as an alternative to aftermarket replacement.

dared3vil0 08-22-2013 04:30 PM

Ehh... Not a fan of that Altima with the plastidip smoked tails... They look cloudy to me.

Santofu 08-22-2013 06:54 PM

I smoked my tail lights... well some of it...

Compare to normal ones.

JesseBlue 08-22-2013 08:12 PM

that just re-enforced my stance on shiny stock tail lights are nice especially the shiny red

What spray guns are you guys using? I'm looking for a gun that works well with plastidip that is relatively cheap and carried at major retailers..Home Depot, etc.

donot521 08-27-2013 04:56 PM

Where can you buy glossifier for cheap? I dont mind going down to the states

The wheels on my wife's Mercedes were even worse; 17" 17 spoke wheels with much smaller gaps between each spoke. Kept having to spin the wheel 90 degrees every coat because I kept finding spots without any coverage. Took a solid 6 hours to do all 4 wheels about 5/6 Coats. One good thing is that you can apply a nee coat in little as 15-20 mins.

Bought a 3500 today. What settings are you using? I read to use a low setting, about 15 clicks from the lowest setting for the first couple coats, then move it up to around 50% for the rest.
