Hey ASR,

Where'd you get the grip/trigger/handle thing for the spray can?

I've been looking for one with no success.

asr 06-30-2013 11:17 AM

^Try Homedepot on 200 St. I got mine at Homedepot in Richmond.

Make sure it is this one. This trigger works best with plastidip/protectdip nozzles
The trigger got a clamp to hold the can very tight. The dip can will not move at all

If so me and kunoman1 were debating whether to do this color on his wheels as well!

Listen to this man

BTW ASR like the fact your tape matches your shoes haha.

Audi now also has gold stripes

Anyone down to group buy on DYC to save some shipping? :alone:

Zedbra 07-03-2013 05:39 PM

I'm contemplating trying my rims in white, seen a few videos where they clean up okay. Not sure if it would work with my silver Jetta or not. Opinions?

dared3vil0 07-03-2013 10:18 PM

Silver and white doesn't look good imo... :okay:

westopher 07-03-2013 11:24 PM

any one done it on 2pc./3pc. wheels? I want to do my rays in white but feel it might look like horseshit around the bolts.

J.C 07-03-2013 11:25 PM

i may be
still deciding on the colour for my wheels

matte black is off the list because too plain
considering anthracite and vintage gold for my silver car
vintage gold may or may not look good on silver

beansbaxter 07-03-2013 11:44 PM

I'm interested in the group buy. Still trying to decide on a colour as well.

AzNightmare 07-04-2013 12:12 AM

When you guys say matte black, is that like Satin black (with semi gloss-like look), or flat black?

Kaolinite 07-04-2013 01:15 AM

im also interested in a group buy..probably for vintage gold with gloss on my black car

AzNightmare 07-04-2013 07:58 AM

How much would each can end up costing if we did a group buy?
I'm Looking for matte black though.

Okay turns out we don't save that much money because shipping is calculated by weight.
10 regular cans + shipping = $85.90 = $8.59/can
30 regular cans + shipping = $245.52 = $8.18/can
What you do save is time from going to point Roberts and cost at the place you're shipping to.
I don't think I would want to pick up anything over $150 because of taxes. Usually they're pretty lenient <$200

Also interested in group

/\/\ FYI you can get all/most color of plasti dip @ homedepot in bellingham
They stock only black but you can order through there website and ship to the store for the other colors/gloss/metalyzer etc etc.

and at LOWES (also in bellingham) they have hundreds of stock in black and white plasti dip

Ive recently ordered 6 red plasti dip for 35$ just waiting for the order to arrive:fullofwin:

but anyway here's my white plasti dip on my wheels
http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/...754713FF23.jpg

https://www.dipyourcar.com/product.p...&cat=39&page=1

Do I really need 4 cans? And I'd be interested in the group buy as well, unless someone has these they want to sell me

HondaGuy 07-08-2013 02:49 PM

for just a set of wheels typically 2-3 cans is more than enough.
