What time is end of day? I'm off school at 4:30 and will be home before 5. Wondering if I'll make it before they leave the package outside.

Flash a custom kernel and chance are that your battery life will improve significantly. I'm on Franco kernel r28, stock ROM. I get through the entire day just fine.

Around 1hr 45 min screen time
50 min call time
regular whatsapp conversations going.

I'm probably gonna switch over to Franco. Currently using Faux's kernel and battery is so so.. better than stock but not as good as I'd want it.

WTF.. unless they turn on their phone and only play a movie with with below lowest brightness and all networks off... I don't understand how it's possible.

You'll get better battery if you flash ROM/kernel. I get ~2:45 screen time with 25-30 hours on battery. Maybe only about 20-30 minute call time though.

Which ROM/Kernel would you recommend? I saw from this thread that Franco kernel is pretty good. I have no idea for roms though. Anyone?

Using CM10.1 with Faux123 kernel. Getting good battery life and lots of things to play with using Faux123's app as well.

I prefer Faux's kernel over Franco's right now.

I got this one from Extreme Guard. They frequently have 80% off coupon codes so don't buy it at regular price.

Yeah, I don't like it on the front screen. I don't mind it on the back. Having a slightly grippier back means it won't slide off.

If you want something different, try the kit from Spigen. It's considerably more expensive though.

I'm currently using THE Poetic Borderline bumper. Quality isn't bad. It's TPU and should hold me until the actual bumper becomes available again. I paid like $10.

Anyone adjust the colour with Franco's Nexus 4 Display Control? I just received my second N4 and compared it to my first one and realized it's actually really yellow (never got to spend time with stock at all).
Changed the settings right away with the app to 200 200 255. I just eyeballed this setting to make the whites really white. A popular setting I found on forums is 238 228 240 but I found that still too saturated.
The app does cost $2.60 but it works really well and you don't have to constantly go back and change the settings. Do it once and you can leave it.
Try it and if you don't find a setting you like you can refund it within 15 minutes.

Fauxclock is better since you can adjust gamma as well on stock ROM. The gamma is wayyyyy off on these phones.
