It's because he was on Wifi most of the time. Things change once you're not as the hsic wake lock issue rears its head.

The cycle before this one I got 4.5 hours at about 10% when I was on data 3/4 of the day. My phone was constantly on the lowest power state but now it's actually going into deep sleep when the screen is off. Or go to your phone provider and ask for a micro sim? Friend got a micro, and then a full size sim from bell for free. He got both within 20mins of each other.
