a few of you may recall a few years back i sent my autoart s2000 away to germany to be modded... it's finally done:

what it was before...

and now...

it was supposed to get a soft top but production issues meant it didn't happen

but there is talk of a mugen hardtop so fingers crossed.

now waiting to see if canada post will do their best to deliver it in one piece...

got this today...didn't feel like waiting for daylight to shoot it outside

can we agree AutoArt 1/18 diecasts are the best overall package of Japanese vehicles in stock form if you don't get any defective bits? Kyosho seem prone to paint bubbles and Ignition are sealed (love the details and stance though)

^ Definitely... I actually feel bad for AutoArt on their Facebook page, every time they post something people just troll and trash the post soooo hard saying things about being overpriced and stuff....... yet anytime OneModel (example) posts something people drool over it and no one says a word about price even though they charge more than AutoArt does and they're all resin and non-opening models!

Im waiting for my 2000GT in 1:24 from Ebbro right now!

so I just brought my first 1:18 model i think i'm addicted lol.

Where can i find a glass or acrylic cover that goes over the auto art bases?

I haven't took it out of the box yes so don't quite know how it work. I would like to have a cover or display case ready for it for when I do. Where can I find a cover/display case for auto art 1:18?

if you have a square foot of real estate, just get a detolf glass cabinet from Ikea...it's like $60 to house a dozen 1:18 scale vs $20-30 for each individual acrylic case

my first Exoto...feels like it weighs a kilo
if this is representative of their typical stuff, I think CMC is still the benchmark for this scale

the race car is a real piece of history...a replica of this chassis that was built to compete against the 250 GTO and gave Shelby the first win for an American constructor and planted the seed to build the iconic GT40

here's the video of it in action by the original driver and designer before it was auctioned off for $7M in 2009

You have a point. But that means I have to dump more money. A shelf with 1-2 model is so gay lol

the only downside is that a display cover was not included. it was supposed to be available as an option but that hasn't happened

that's a difficult question. based on personal preference i liked the BBR 1/12 laferrari, but that might be due to its size:

anyone got space? ignition model announced this in 1/12 scale (sealed resin):

the only one other time IG released a 1/12 some time ago it was of the R32 GTR. they sold out really fast because of the low build numbers. the last time i saw one come up on auction it sold for double the msrp... mad.
