| Wait till windows 8 comes out then get a laptop?
Looking to get a laptop in around $700 to $950. Should I get one now(there a few good deals out there atm) or wait till windows 8 roll out and then get a laptop with window7 that's bound to go on sale? Don't really care about the version of windows the laptop is running.

Hold off for four more days and then go get Win 7 laptops on sale. Specs are going to be almost the same except for the Windows thing, and most companies are offering some sort of upgrade deal to get customers to upgrade to Win 8.

To be honest, Win8 annoys me. I much prefer the existing layout than this tiled, touch-screen inspired one. Been playing with an RT computer at work over the past while and it hasn't grown on me.
If I were you, I'd look for a clearance Windows7 computer and buy Win8 as an upgrade, but don't necessarily install it. This way you have the option to downgrade if you decide you don't like it.

In the previous version, I would get better hardware to make it run smoothly. For Windows 8, I would format my hard drive and stick with Windows 7, it completely changed my experience with a PC. Why do they have to make it so complicated and not user friendly.

After using Windows 8 Release Preview for a few months, I don't find it complicated at all. It's like your good-old regular Windows with changes here and there. Programs/options are still easily found. It probably is personal preference, but I do enjoy the option of using tiles as well as the traditional desktop.

More like why do they need to change something that already works good and people are used to? Changing something just for the sake of change isn't a good idea. It has to bring some obvious and significant benefits.
People will only put up with so much, and if the benefits aren't immediately obvious to them they're not going to be happy with the changes.

Which it will do... however it remains to be seen if people will adapt to the changes.

MS thinks they can unify tablets and PC's, Apple thinks you can't (Tim Cook stated this outright when asked about it).
We'll just have to wait and see where things go the next year.

We'll just have to wait and see where things go the next year. | Because Apple never goes back on something they said..
After the iPad was released, Steve Jobs said that 7" Tablets are useless (with other negative commentary)
I also can't wait till they day the produce a phone wider than the iPhone 5..
