How can you have sympathy for the guy? He knew what he was doing and the risks when he sponsored her and so did she. They both knew he was financially responsible for her for up to three years after her permanent residence was established.
You cant rape the willing and he willingly offered himself up to be screwed when she left he should have accepted his agreed responsibility and supported her monthly but I'll bet he told her to screw off cus he was a bitter broken hearted dude and now thinks he should get off scott free....fuck that.
As for taking her PR away thats implied blackmail "stay with this guy for three years or else" It then puts all the onus on the girl and thats not fair to her what if this was an abusive relationship. The rules are cut and dry kept simple for a reason and both parties are privy to said rules.

of course its unfortunate things like this happen, especially to an older man clearly lonely, but people need to take responsibility, im sure he signed many many documents that made it clear there would be repercussions if the women had just been in it for citizenship. ignorance surrounds us, and those at fault should have to deal with it, especially when it comes to money. I rather not have my taxes go up to cover people mistakes, I think she should have to cover a portion of the money owed if not all and be deported, if she cant cover all its on him. and hopefully many people learn from this at the very least.

Yes, he should take responsibility for his actions. Thanks to Munz, this woman will now be collecting welfare probably for the rest of her life. After his 3 year obligation is up, it will be Canadians who will continue getting fucked in the ass.

If she was smarter, she should have just stayed for the long haul and went for his house.

she left him, i dont think it stated they actually divorced. got a feeling she's going to let it sit on paper they're still married and then pull a surprise guest star appearance at the reading of the will to collect "what's hers"...

unless the gov't steps up and revokes her status... :ifyouknow:
