I thought June bug are the medium size black ones? This one scared the hell out of me. I approached it while wearing my motorcycle helmet and gloves, armed with a tennis racket...then my gf calmly walks over and puts it in a glass.  | |

Living out in the subtropical boonies, I come across all sorts of whacky bugs. Just a while ago my cat was fighting with one of these, I was able to rescue him 
I've also thrown out moths the size of hummingbirds, no pics of them yet unfortunately. I've also seen a stick bug - you know the kind that literally looks like a stick.. that was pretty awesome, I've always wanted to see bugs like that and the praying mantis
