totally different story but yours isnt as bad compared to my situation.

Two days before halloween, i decided to store my MR2 for winter and did a coolant flush. Everything went smoothly. I was happy that my baby was off the road.. 5 days later i decided to check up on my MR2 and saw a drip of coolant on the ground. Just to see if it was leaking i opened up engine lid and spotted rat droppings and urine all over my clean engine bay.... I was choked so i cleaned it all up and went out to buy traps.I really didnt want to but i have no other choice. They were getting too comfy in mine and my brothers engine bay. On Sunday night, our snap trap caught a huge rat. Dont have pictures, however we did catch anothe one tonight and took pictures this time. Unfortunately 5 mins after resetting the trap, the trap went off and i heard rats running but caught nothing..

Spoiler!

hey OP a lot of times they'll start living in your sideview mirror in behind the glass. Next time you wash the car just hold a gentle stream of water upto the mirror and shoot it behind the glass. What I did and they've been gone for awhile.

I've also heard sugar + water repels most insects, try that if the aforementioned method of extermination doesn't satisfy your insect killing needs.

BTW I forgot the exact numbers but a single spider egg can hold thousands of spiders (or was it hundreds?). In either case, GL.
