Are Subarus the best cars money can buy? Are Subarus the best cars money can buy? - Fortune Management http://fortuneaskannie.files.wordpre...pg?w=620&h=371 Interesting writeup by Fortune on Subaru. The answer is yes, obviously, but I'm biased.:fullofwin: |
I always wanted the Subaru Baja... hmm... |
^ the baja is terrible... like... useless, the bed it tiny, the interior is tiny.. the engine is tiny, its just a poor vehicle all around. i worked at surbaru for a few years and the outback has grown on me the most. Subaru re sale value is amazing, reliability is great IF you maintain the vehicle and most are very upgradable thanks to the aftermarket availablity for most Subaru's, and alot of models share parts amongst themselves making swaps and whatnot more simple. on the down side tho, maintenance can be pricey ei. blow a tire and you needa buy all 4 new ones because uneven tread wear can cause pre mature differential wear, and fuel economy isnt the best in its class |
Probably the cheapest awd car you can buy eh. Also the reliability is a plus:) Posted via RS Mobile |

It is indeed one of the most favoured cheapest AWD car, but keep in mind, AWD = more fuel = money pit. But handling is awesome in the rain or dry. Slap on on some winter tires in the snow, and you'll be drifting like Takumi :fullofwin: And yes, it does have the famous horizontal opposed 'boxer' engine, but one issue that always arises with the engines particular to the naturally aspirated, are leaky head gaskets. :okay: So .... who wants to buy my car? :lol (don't worry, no leaky gaskets here ;) |

I had a bugeye wrx. Good car but not practical. Not roomy and the thing was a pig on gas. Aftermarket parts are way too uber rare and overpriced Posted via RS Mobile |
turbo engine will have poor fuel consumption it is basically a V6 or a V8 in 4 cylinder form :) |

2014 FORESTERRRRRRRRRR :fuckyea: Subaru fills a special niche kinda like saab. Saved me once when I jumped a curb at 50km/h while drifting between 2 trees. The car just drove like nothing happened :lawl: Dat AWD is solid, went through a foot of snow and ice with shitty all seasons :alonehappy: |

Turbo BMW with Xdrive should work as good as STi ! |

LOL @ BMW awd system, it works on the road and that about it, Subaru's symmetrical system is a nice setup, whats the point of AWD if hp/torque isnt spread evenly simple video showing the difference, top gear covered a BMW with Xdrive and it was much the same, uneven power distribution fails pretty bad in snow/mud situations |

I always liked Subarus, but starting from the base model they seem to charge a lot for every little additional feature and accessory. Always wanted to drive an STI, though. Also, I bet my SX4 with awd lock could climb that hill in the video above. :D |

^ 4wd lock is different then awd, in that case i would really hope it does haha |

unlike the other vehicles the rav4 has the ability to lock the center differential manually which should distribute the power 50-50 limiting slippage and arguably getting it up that hill. |
LOLWTF xDrive is good for road only or a few inches of snow... 40/60 distribution = disaster in mud CVT forester is not actually 50/50 but 45/55 |
