WOW that's gotta be an expensive oil 18L mobil 1 (3 boxes with 6 bottles each) and two filters and would be interesting to now exactly how long it took without the fast forward of the video. I'm guessing they rolled the car in on the dollies because they didn't want to risk hitting the wheels or body on the hoist if they drove it on.

From the video description:

"It takes a good 30 minutes to even get it on the rack and then the oil change takes about 2 1/2 to 3 hours."

Most expensive part of the job is the fact that it apparently takes 3-4 guys to do it...

usually the owner drives into these quick oil change place and drives it out.. so the crash would be on the owners fault..

I read factory fill is m1 5w-50 and it costs around 6-10 per quart. Idk why they charge $1000 for an oil change

They put it on pump jacks because the car is too low to get on their hoist and its much safer than tryin to drive onto 2x4's

Blue LFA = SEX!!!

Dealership has to be careful or else they will pay for damages...thats why pump jacks are necessary.
I recall an audi mechanic telling me that only certain qualified techs can work on certain cars. When a tech is well trained/took necessary courses can he work on the audi r8, probably similar to the lfa.

Just like how only certified techs can touched more specialized cars: GT-R, Carrera GT etc.

There's only two Lexus techs in Canada certified to work on the LFA. Paid accomodations when they get flown in for work

are one of them located in Vancouver?

after watching, it's doesn't appear to be that bad to do the oil change on the LF-A. it just takes time to do prepping for hoist, and a little bit of assistance for panel removal. the extra guy was there to assist, purely as a precaution I'm sure. I can totally see the oil change being done by one person only. and I was very impressed to see that the oil filters used appear to be fairly standard off the shelf Toyota filters. and look, an oil dipstick too!
