Leather stitched everything! Too bad it never makes it into production.

Klobbersaurus 08-16-2013 08:34 PM

cant help but notice the difference faces the car makes with each headlight assembly being the eyes and the bumper opening as the mouth

Marshall Placid 08-16-2013 08:42 PM

Looking good!

I like the side and the bottom front parts.

tofu1413 08-16-2013 09:16 PM

Pretty sure extemded leather will be on the individual packaged cars. The e34s had that option!

rsx 08-16-2013 10:09 PM

Guess Chinese people will let the "number 4 curse" slide this time.

This is from the individual package, standard m4 interior won't be this plush.

I used to think the E46 Phoenix Yellow and Laguna Seca Blue were vomit inducing as well, but those are the 2 colour's I'd want if I was ever looking into one. The M4 yellow is pretty awesome IMO

HonestTea 08-18-2013 04:10 AM

Mmm... LSB :)

Just saw the 4 series coupe in person and I am extremely disappointed. My plan on saving up for the M4 is trashed. I was so excited to get the 4 series ever since it was announced...

The rear of the car looks the same as the current 3 series GT which is ugly as sin, it doesn't even look like a coupe any more. The car just looks way too big for a coupe, it looks slow and dumb rather than agile and smart (e92's).

I wanted a sporty upgrade from my Z, not a convenient grocery shopping coupe.

Now I really wish I started saving up earlier to pick up one of the last e92 M3's, might have to get a second hand one by the time I have enough saved up. The e92 styling is so hard to beat, from pictures the 4 series looks like it would be a nice upgrade but the hideous side vent and the hatchback like rear just destroys the appearance.

LSB is win but the shit stained colour will never grow on me (no offense whoever owns one)

You mentioned you saw the 4 series coupe.

The M4 looks a little different and should drive better than the regular 4 series.

The side vent, if it serves a purpose, looks okay.

But, if it is just for aesthetics, then it should not be there.

I agree though that the e92 looks more different than the 3 series sedan (E90) than the 4 series coupe vs. newgen 3 series sedan (F30).

Dakar Yellow and Estoril Blue...Two perfect M colors

Phoenix yellow is not that bad, I've grown to like it over time

Nah, I still think yellow in almost all forms looks terrible on a car. Even brand new, it still manages to look like it's been faded from being in the sun for a dozen years.

And I'm still not a fan of the centre stack on the 3-ser. The e46 was the last gen that had an interior I actually liked. :/

M4 will look slightly better but the rear just throws it off for me. The side looks like they copied the C63 coupe/Accord Coupe/G37 coupe stlying.

It used to look different compared to all other coupes, but now the retarded naming and not-innovative design makes the 4 series just another coupe. Your RS5 on the other hand, now that is design. I have loved A5/S5/RS5 since the beginning of time, a very eye catchy car. No cars look like that.

korroke 08-21-2013 05:27 PM

soo they said that the car will have around 415 hp.... that's disappointing

Probably.
If you pronounce it in canto, it sounds like "Won't Die"
M = Mm (pronounced like "5" = Wont
4 = Say = Die

Bit of a stretch. But I could see people using it as an excuse to ignore the "4"

MANUAL TRANSMISSION OR NOT?

As for today's rumor out of Autoblog that there will be no manual transmission option for the M4, we believe it to be false. We submit contrary evidence in the form of: photos, videos, and VIN (options) information. The photos clearly show an early F80 M3 prototype with a 6 speed manual, the videos show what appears to be manual prototype M3 and M4 (judging by the shift and RPM patterns), and the VIN information shows prototypes with and without a DCT option.

Good on BMW for giving us a choice. Hopefully the manual take rate for this M car remains high.
