I feel for you man. I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago after a Vegas trip. 4-5 of us got food poisoning eating at the mexican restaurant in the miracle mile. Luckily we didn't get sick while on the plane but I missed 4 days of work. Either way you have a lot of good advice here so I'd follow it, just stay hydrated. It really sucks having to decide if you're going to sit on the toilet or pray to it and what's worse at the moment LOL. |
And oh yeah, when you shit this much.. baby wipes are your best friend. Any sort of wipes is better for your starfish than even the best brand of toilet paper. |
food poisoning is a bitch, I've had it once every 2 years for the last few years. Don't drink gatorade on its own, water it down a bit because it could be hard on your stomach if it's still the early stages. Then start with bananas. The memories of sitting on a toilet with a bucket in my lap vomiting... I feel for u man. Another thing, every time it happened to me, about 2 or 3 days later I would wake up drenched in sweat and from that morning on, i would be fine. |
Home remedy for me was a tsp baking soda and lots of water. The baking soda kills bacteria in ur stomache . Just remember diarrhea is weakness leaving your body lol Posted via RS Mobile |
worst that ever happened to me, shitting, puking at the same time lol. didn't know that was ever possible. can't even wipe my ass anymore because it stings like a bitch |
DON'T EAT ANY FOOD!!! Drink liquids and lots of them. ie. Gatorade, water, 7-up, etc... It's been a couple of days, you can have some broth also some jello (not pudding) DO NOT DRINK ANY DAIRY. |
A couple years ago I had some BBQ pork from the food court in aberdeen. Went home, started feeling really dizzy and feverish and eventually vomited for a good couple minutes. I tried to walk to my couch but I stumbled halfway through  It lasted for a couple hours, but my appetite went to the shitter; all I could take was water without vomiting again. Feels bad man :okay: Food poisoning sucks |

so are you saying you're not wiping your ass after you take a nasty shit? :suspicious:  in all seriousness hope you feel better man. |
I had food poisoning last week. The first day i vomited and had to go washroom about 15 times. I then took some immodium and drank alot of gatorade/powerade. I felt alot better the second day. Drinking gatorade or any sports drink help replace electolytes. Also I ate a pickle now and then to reduce nausea for abit. |
To be honest, I'd be more inclined to believe that it's the flu rather than food poisoning. The Norovirus is going around right now and has affected quite a few people I know, and the symptoms are pretty much on par with what you say you have. Even with food poisoning, though, if it lasts for more than a day, you should get yourself checked into the hospital or at least make a trip to a doctor/walk-in clinic asap. Food poisoning can be quite dangerous, especially if it's caused by something like e.coli. A friend of mine almost died a few years ago from it. |
Baby wipes all the ass burnin way!! I gots a baby and man I'll never be without baby wipes even after a night of spicy food they are TP of the gods! |
wow it seems everyone getting sick recently i got over mine 2 weeks ago had the same symtoms as u within 5-6 i was able to eat again. Big assist to me was to drink gatorade |
You should only be drinking a sip of water every 5 minutes or so until your stomach can at least hold that. By drinking a large amount at a time, all you're going to so is shit it right back out. And like van_city23 said, gatorade would be good for you but dilute it a little to start. |
think my cousin got it today lol i get a call from his friend saying he's puking badly at school. he had KFc for lunch so something musta gone wrong. now he's in the ER cus his parents took him there. Dunno if ive had anything like this.. cept one time i had some kind of attack while i was driving to go pick up my gf from PNE. on the way there i started shaking badly and sweating, stomach was gurgling bad and bad cramps. felt like puking as i "gagged" a good 7 times. just barely made it to the PNE and pulled over while i waited. Was still madly shaking (as if i had hypothermia) and felt sick to my gut. Finally after an hour wait (i told gf i cant drive in this condition) i had enough strength to drive back to her house and stayed on her couch for the next hour and a half still shaking and having diarrhea (no not on the couch -_- ) but eventually took some bepto which seemed to help a lot |
Same thing happened to me a few months ago. Ate meat lovers from Panago - Woke up in the middle of the night vomiting and it wouldn't stop. Every time I ate something it would come out, so I just ate vitamins. Went to a walk in clinic and the doctor said it might be salmonella poisoning - Prescribed me pills for the salmonella and gave me a shot of Gravol in my lower back. Felt MUCH better. |
I guess I got lucky. No diarrhea for me. I was feeling better after 24 hrs but I had the chills, aches, nausea, upset stomach, fever, and the feeling you get when you want to vomit. I drank gatorade, rubbed in some type of chinese remedy oil that targetted muscle/joint pains and kept to eating small meals until I was fully recovered. At first I thought I had food poisoning too so I asked around and no one else was sick except me. Hope you feel better soon! |

Again, you should seriously consider taking Immodium. Especially if you lift weights. You want to get back to eating and getting back all that muscle and gains you lost. Oh, BTW, if you drink Gatorade/Powerade, don't be surprised if your shit is green or blue or whatever. It's from the sports drink. I google'd it the last time cause I was all "Wtf?". |
My worst food poisoning was in Japan, the morning I was to head back home. Had a convenience store hot dog for dinner that night, and I thought it was supposed to be green with herbs or something  Puked in my hotel bathroom, puked in the lobby bathroom after checking out, puked in the bus bathroom on the way to the airport, puked at the airport bathroom after checking in, puked in the airplane after taking off... Then I felt fine  Don't take immodium, it will only prolong the agony. Let your body flush out the nastiness it has to. |
seriously? you went to the doctor after 3 whole days of feeling ill and then came on Revscene to ask for advice? Why didn't you come on Revscene earlier for help? Then you wouldn't have even needed to waste your money and time seeing your doctor. where is that "I can't believe this shit" Jackie Chan pic when you need it?!@! |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but how do you know it's from the pizza a few hours before? Don't these things happen from consumption of contaiminated food 24-48hours before you start the runs? |
I don't think it was food poisoning....but 2 summers ago Gridlock and I got sick within 2 hours of each other. I started to feel ill and called to tell him. 2 hour later he come home saying he was sick too....then came vomiting and other fun stuff. Good thing we have 2 bathrooms because it was like the fucking Exorcist...all shame went out the door as we were both heaving and wrenching down the hall from one another. And, of course with both of us being sick, neither of us could make it to the store to buy supplies (gatorade, gravol, crackers, apple sauce, etc)....luckily we had become friends with one of our tenants and she went for us. Such a life saver!! Nothing brings a couple together like vomiting and diarrhea in tandem! :fullofwin: |
Gatorade definitely works, takes time. The secret to food poisoning is: Go to an all natural suppliments store. Buy a bottle of capsulize charcoal pills, take a few pills and keep drinking gatorage. Charcoal will absorb the poisonous bacteria and flush it out of your system. Your bowl movements will be dark while taking it, but it has worked like a miracle. Trust me, I get food poisoning all the time, and sometimes in the past hospitalized, but since I've got a bottle of charcoal with me when I travel, I've gotten over food poisoning in hours. Thank me later |
ok let me give some information here. this is info coming direct from coastal health. according to them food poisoning takes a MINIMUM of 12 hours for bacteria to develop in the body until you will feel symptoms. sometimes it can take as much as 48 hours. running a restaurant i get really annoyed if someone calls me a couple hours after having something at my place and then blames their sickness on what they ate from me when its MORE likely something that was eaten many many hours before. op's sickness is almost absolutely NOT from fresh slice. op needs to look back the last couple day at what was eaten. maybe something more likely then a slice of pizza baked in a crazy hot oven clearly hot enough to kill all potential bacteria and then assumingly let to rest under some heat lamps that are to code. maybe op cooked some raw meat at home and had some bacteria transfer because op wasn't cooking with proper hygienic techniques. |
