As for the pizza, it will have been fully cooked but who knows how long it was sitting around before he ate it? That's when food gets nasty bacteria on it... Cooking kills bacteria, but it will come back if not stored properly. You can sometimes tell what caused the sickness because that's what your burps and puke smell and taste like while you are sick. Sounds gross I know, but as soon as that taste goes away, you will start to feel better. At least that's what I have observed |
i don't think burp and puke are relevant to proper diagnosis as clearly your going to vomit what you last ate or what has yet to be properly digested. and as for what previously made you sick your blaming what you ate last but your completely ignoring what had been eaten in the past 48hrs unless you ate NOTHING for 2 days then ate that hot dog in japan. and of course storing food is important. thats why i mentioned that more then likely they are storing their pizza in a heated location that will obviously have to meet coastal health rules. and obviously there is a chance it wasn't stored properly but i would look FIRST at the other things eaten over the past two days then to blame the last thing eaten. |

most food poisoning cases does NOT come from the last restaurant you ate at. for that to happen, there will have to be a SHIT TON of bacteria already in the food before ingestion to have that sort of immediate effect. most likely, it would have been caused by food you ate 2-3 days ago. OP, as mentioned before, you need a lot of electrolytes to replenish the liquids you have lost. if you haven't already done so, definitely visit your family doctor. if it continues, i would definitely recommend you to go to the hospital. what you can do is, and if you think it is fresh slice that caused this, call the health authority that the restaurant is under and make a complaint. they usually will follow up within 24-48 hours. they will do an inspection. IIRC, you can request them to call you back after an inspection to let you know the results. you might not be the only one experiencing this and if there are enough calls, it could warrant an investigation and your help would be greatly appreciated by the PHI. |

If you're going to stop by the pharmacy, check out Florastor (it's a capsule full of pro-biotic bacteria, that helps your intestines recover lost flora) |

anyways i was directing my info at op who called out a restaurant at which he ate at only a couple hours before claiming to feel symptoms. and if your going to throw a company under the bus at least have some valid information that supports your argument. as for your situation i could care less what your circumstances were, green hotdogs from japan are not relevant to op. |
Hope everyone who is sick is better. I've had food poisoning and it's fucking terrible. |

my friday night started around 4-5 when i ordered my pizza, my foods I eat 24-48hrs before I ate the pizzas were mash potatoes, brocoli, homemade french fries, brown rice. I ate the same foods for almost an entire month, and when it comes down to making my own food, I am ocd, I will make sure my food is nice and bacteria free before I eat. Honestly if you go to that fresh slice location, thats about the dirtiest place i've seen, and usually, most of the other fresh slices are nice and clean. The pizzas you know stay out in the open for who knows how long and then they take it, heat it up in the oven for 2mins for customers. As for the ingredients? my friend ships out all that and hes told me stories of how they tape back up the bags where rats the size of squirrels chew through, give the pizza place a discount if they want to purchase opened products. "A few hours later after midnight, I started heating up to what was a small fever" I ate the pizza around 4-6, it does not take up to a complete 10-12 hr window for bacteria to grow, everything else can come into play during that time. The fever lasted a few hours, no sniffles no nothing, just dizziness, puking, major aching pain in my stomach/intestines. You could be right, or I know whats up and the rest of these other guys here that's been through it.:fullofwin: |

However just because you read it in a book, doesn't mean it isn't always the case. As I have pointed out, and many others could as well, there isn't a "rule" that bacteria follows before your body gets sick. 2 hours might be a bit much, but 8 or even 6 is still reasonable. As for my situation, it doesn't directly relate to the OP, nor does your situation of people blaming your restaurant for making them sick. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't, but citing some 12-48 hour "rule" isn't going to help anyone. |

u need lots of water - the only dangerous part about food poisoning and stomach flu is losing so much water that u die. Don't eat. If you drink water and your body can't handle it and throws it up you should see a doctor as they need to IV your ass and possibly give you some meds if you're able to hold down water, don't eat, just drink a shitload of it..from there make your way towards foods that keep your shit strong - soda crackers only. Next maneuver to non-spicy, non-caffeinated,non-fat, non-animal simple foods with one ingredient. Later on you should move to fruits and then meats and dairty should be last when you're all healed |
eat some ice cream. must as well treat yourself! |

Anyways, hope you feel better though. I had major food poisoning in 2005 during a vacation and ended up in the ER. Couldn't eat for days except for water/gatorade-hydralite of the sorts and had to eat these antibiotics that made me feel like my body was running on slow-mo. This might even sound crazy (possible, since I was running on 0 food and high medication) but I literally could feel the blood flowing in my arms. After this whole mess..I promised myself to never get in that situation ever again. It happened maybe 2-3 times after that year (food poisoning free since 2011!! LOL)...but never to that extent. I seriously thought I was going to die. |
OP must be trolling. Knows place is dirty. Still eats there. :derp: |

I had some pretty bad bouts when I lived in Brazil, and water and rest took care of it. |
prolly too late but do NOT drink gatorade as it contains way too much sugar. empty stomach + sugar = bad news bears (make you even more dehydrated d/t drawing water out of your gut) unless you dilute the heck out of the gatorade, replenish your electrolytes with something like pedialyte (very low sugar content comparatively, but contains artificial sweeteners, but who cares at this point unless you have some sort of allergy). electrolyte replacement and re-hydration (don't just drink water only) are priority in this situation... good luck. |
^^ drink the alternative; Propel, it does the job of Gaorade minus the sugar and food dyes. Only ever had food poisoning once and the doc told me to drink gatorade...My vomit was red. So I had to resort to an alternative. |
drink gatorade. cause with all the diarrhea and vomit will dehydrate you. (i got food poisoning from vegas dafuck:) had it for like 2 weeks too lulz. and thats what the doctor told me. just gotta wait it out. and drink like no tomorrow |
Pedialyte is for children. Hydralyte is the adult equivalent Posted via RS Mobile |
sometimes we know certain foods can make us sick or kill us but we do keep eating them. I was hungry and feening for some pizza so i had to drop by there cause it was literally beside the road at the time:fullofwin: |
Yeah while I have eaten at some places almost certain it would make me sick... Then it ends up being the fancy seafood restaurant or whatever that actually does make you sick :okay: |
