Many people on this forum like fast cars, money, fine dining, hot chicks, and a little joshing of each other. Perhaps even some healthy ball-busting. Maybe you'd prefer a brony thread, Pikachu? |

Honestly, I have tons of respect for anyone who devotes countless amounts of time into a dream. Writers, performers, athletes, artists, etc, don't pick up their skills or perfect their crafts overnight. It takes months, years, and not uncommonly, decades. It's something they just do out of passion. Through reading this (entertaining) thread, Jason's outlook and plan might actually be outlandish and crazy enough to work. Back on-topic, I personally know a writer of a certain e-book that makes six figures a month. A month! Mind you, he is a genius when it comes to SEO, PPC, and all that jazz. @Jason, I just signed with a new agent. Looks like we'll be having a good ol' fashioned battle of traditional vs self-pub. I have an odd feeling, that, given the millions of daily click-through rates on porn sites, your plan may be more feasible than we thought. |

Lil Wayne is using the scatter-shot technique. He puts out hundreds and hundreds of songs, and hopes that a few will be blockbusters and score those big royalty checks. To play devil's advocate... he did put in the time to write and record them all. Sadly, that technique is more effective nowadays to achieve fame and fortune. 100 sub-par songs will gain more traction than a few well-written songs. Quantity over quality. |
"Artists" like Wayne don't even make their own shit they buy beats and get people to write the songs, it's a viscous cycle of "gettin money like a mothafucka" These talentless hacks just ride the coat tails of their buddies until they have enough money to start buying their own music, Wayne to Birdman and so forth Posted via RS Mobile |
Almost every song I listened to by Lil'Wayne its just constant repetition of nigga. I dont think nigga rhymes with nigga. |
Man, it sucks to see so much hatred directed towards someone successful. http://www.mr-uploads.com/reddit/yababy.jpeg The fact is, no matter what you're successful at, you will have people who hate you. Even if you work at Lordco, there will be that one delivery driver who wants to take a shit on your face and rape your dog. |
This thread is about making money like a mutha fucka...why are we hating on how people made their riches? Luck, brains, inheritance, natural talents, drugs, white-collar crimes, etc...Who gives a fuck how they got it. We can all learn how they earned it and how they plan to maintain or build on it. |

Congrats on the printed novel. Regardless of what people say, you told yourself you were going to do something, and you did it. Can't hate on that. Also, I just heard back from my agent about a meeting with RHC. Maybe we'll see each other on the bestsellers list. :D |
